s.e.c., I've explained many times in my threads that I always buy the hook. The only difference in your lines and my lines that I see is Buffalo. Buffalo was at -1.5 at Carib and Canbet, and I bought the hook.

Best of luck to you today.

Reb,

Have you ever done any statistical analysis regarding buying the half point? Just curious if anyone has ever looked at it over an entire season. I certainly adhere to it in the NFL, but I have not been able to justify it in any other sport.

Good Luck today!

Bason, I was wondering the same thing because I always buy the hook in basketball (like a religion) and i was wondering if i'm wasting my money that way:shrug:

I do know this...you have to lose 8 DJ games to equal one pushing by the hook if you are betting the same amt each game...so it seems to me that its good logic to go ahead and buy the hook...

I know it sounds good, but I am willing to bet that this year it has not paid off. I can only remember losing 2 games this year by a half point versis the hundreds I have bet. Maybe it is just this year.

I think it may make more sense on games with lines of 3.5 or less.

Syracuse fell apart as I had them small too. I love the BYU vs. Wyoming game and missed it by minutes as I thought it was later
I have BYU killing them. Anyway, I'm on Bama with you so GL
GL & PEACE< HAIL:D
Oh ya, I must add GO WYOMING since I missed it, I want to see them cover!

Augur, it's great to hear we are on 7 teams together, and especially the Bama game, which I need to win.

That Syracuse loss weirded me out today. Should have won that one easily. Made me think lady fate is really out to get me. A couple of wins since then has made me feel better. Still need to have a big night. Lots of big games pending.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the thread, and I appreciate the good wishes of all who gave them. I hope everyone who reads this thread enjoys a profitable evening:)
