Thurs. 4/19 Plays:

BRUINS -225 $450 to win $200
Bruins first playoff home opener in quite some time. The Bruins and their fans should be fired up and ready for this tilt. Canadiens will get a dose of reality tonight, although I am still expecting a close game.

Maple Leafs -165 $330 to win $200
I noticed quite a few like the ISLE tonight which causes me to be a bit concerned. The Leafs were the hottest team coming into the playoffs and have been scoring goals in mass quantities. Cujo should be close to 100% and I look for Sundin, Mogilny and Co. to step up in game 1 big time!

Blues -190 $380 to win $200
I do not like putting up this much chalk on a team that has been so inconsistent,but the Blues should be fired up for this game 1 at home. The Blackhawks have not experienced playoff tempo hockey in a few years, while the Blues know what to expect.

Kings +170 $200 to win $340
If the Kings are going to win a game in Colorado game 1 will be the game. The Avalanche may be a little distracted with Forsberg returning and the remaining Avalanche players may try to hard to create chances, creating turnovers for the Kings to take advantage of!

Leafs were not the hottest team coming into the playoffs- if you are talking about the number of wins since the Oly.break- one of the hottest teams yes- but look what happened to the Devils last night and they are one of the hottest teams also- congrats again on your fine start

Howard Berger from the FAN 590 reported from Leaf practice Thursday morning that Gary Roberts will not play in the opening game of the playoffs vs. the Islanders. Roberts is still bothered by a rib muscle injury that caused him to miss the final three weeks of the regular season.

Meanwhile Mikael Renberg and Shayne Corson appear to be committed to playing in Game #1 while Robert Reichel appears to be questionable.

I still think the Leafs have enough to get the job done tonight. The Leafs are at home and have been down this same playoff road year in and year out, while the ISLES have not been for a few years.
I am not sold on Osgood and Yashin has yet to make an impact in the NHL playoffs! Could this year be the year? We will soon find out!

I am going out on a limb here and showing some confidence in my hometown boys to take game 1 in Colorado! Adding another *2 Units* to my KINGS play $$$$ Total- $400 to win $680 :eek:

Tough night boys! The Bruins were outplayed and out-hustled! The Blues played a typical Blues game and looked as if they are headed for another early post season exit. The Kings got screwed out of a goal, went down by two and valiantly battled back to tie it up at 2-2 and 3-3 only to lose with about 5 minutes left in regulation 4-3. This Kings team still does not get any respect from the officials in the NHL! Kerry Frasier might as well have been up in a seat drinking a beer and eating a dog and who was that other clown officiating with him. I have never seen so much blatant interference by a team than I did by the Avalanche tonight. The clutching and grabbing was a joke and the officiating was a disgrace! Let's rebound tomorrow!
