Colorado St/Virginia Over 47.5 (5*)
Both teams D very suspect. Col St's defensive line is tiny, missing Wade at LB, and their secondary is inexperienced. Virginia's O-line is young, but they have a big size advantage over the Rams D-line. With the heat and humidity around 85-90, they should be wearing down Col St's line the entire game. McMullen and Schaub can play catch if the want. Cavs should have no problem running or passing the ball.
Same goes for Col State. Virginia was 94th in rush defense last season...now they switch to a 3-4 scheme with a bunch of question marks on the defensive line. The Sapp/Childs duo is solid, O-line has a few new starters but I'm not too concerned with that area, and Van Pelt is a maniac on the run once the pocket collapses or on the option.
Lubbick is going to run the ball but I don't think it's going to be a 4 yard carry here, 3 yard carry there...they are going to break-off big chunks of yards against Virginia's defense on the ground. Cavs have the more balanced attack and have a huge weapon in McMullen...if he isn't doubled he won't have a problem putting up well over 100 yards..if he is, Cavs should be able to exploit a weak secondary with single coverage on their other receivers.
Good luck!
