Mets +105 (5 units) - Large steam move to the Nats opening as dogs vs deGrom, now Nats favored with vs Strasburg. Ok folks, the Mets have won how many in a row? (10, won 11 straight vs Righties). So fade them tonight, right? Why? Best home field record in MLB and fade them? So, Go with the steam and take the Nats? Is that the smart money? Break it down more folks!! Matty Williams 2nd season as skipper for the Nats who just beat up on the Bravos, my sister could beat up on the Bravos right now!! Strasburg is not fooling anyone folks, the once feared 100 mph fb fireballer is just ordinary now and the Nats lineup while it got some big hits vs the Braves on their current road stand face one of the best arms in the majors in deGrom and one of the best ML lineups that are scoring at 4.3 rpg while allowing one of the league low 3.3 rpg. deGrom is 2-2 2 w/2.96 era thus far after 4 starts while Stras is 1-3 with 4.88 era and a whip of 1.62? That's over 1 1/2 runners on base per inning, something that the Mets thrive on offensively. Last meeting, Stas faced Harvey and gave up 9 hits and walked 3 in less than 6 innings. deGrom lost his start 2-1 facing Zim at Wash DC. The Nats have owned the Mets, they went 15-4 vs the Mets last year right? Stras is 5-2 w/sub 3 era vs Mets? Remember, most of that was before this years version of the rebuilt Mets and the Nats better record before last year vs the Mets was with former Mets manager, Davey Johnson running the Nats show. Wright still out of lineup for Mets this evening but they still have Cuddyer, Grandy Man, DudaDuda, D'arnaud and the scrappy kids like Campbell out there, vs Harper, aged vet Werth and Denard Span. Plate ump wasn't announced up till now. deGrom tagged by Yankees last time out, Stras still giving up more hits than innings pitched. I'll go with the home dog at the small price. This is a different Mets team facing a team starting to get hot with the bats, however, their pitching is not doing the job! Mets bats a bit more potent than what the Nats have faced of late and the Mets do own a 2-1 record this year H2H, all 3 played in DC!
