first 2 unit play of the young season

Real bad spot for this kid Carmona.He is coming off his first start this season in which the CWS whacked him around.He allowed six runs in 4 1-3 innings in his season debut on Friday..Now he gets to toe the rubber in Yankee Stadium in a day game where he sports an ERA of 5.06 over his short career.Add in his 5.35 ERA on Grass..compound that w/his out of the suitcase 6.81 ERA..throw in that in his career opposing hitters have hit .298 against him make the chances of a bright day in the sun at Yankee Stadium very slim.
Yanks yet to have a 3 game winning streak in this young season and get their chance at home w/ around 30,000 screaming Yankee fans propelling the team toward the upcoming RedSox series..
Yanks send Rasner who gave up three unearned runs -- all in the first inning -- in 5 1-3 innings of the Yankees' 13-inning, 4-3 win in Oakland on Saturday
New York, which has outscored the Indians 19-5 and outhit them 24-10 in the first two games of this series, is trying for its first sweep of Cleveland since taking a four-game series July 17-20, 2003.
Yanks bullpen over the last 2 games w/Clev. has 7 innings of relief and not allowed a run.
