Florida at NY METS

to not waste time, look at SNEAKS REVIEW to see analysis. I could add a few things, but there's enough info there to clarify this selection. In fact, JT goes deeper than I into these games, so watch for his plays. BUT, since time is short, I'm with JT on these two.

Florida -105
UNDER 8 -120

Atlanta at CINCY

There's not time to write alot with so many games going early. I'd be careful laying the big juice on ATLANTA today, as the BRAVES just don't seem to want to score for BURKETT. He has a tremendous ERA no doubt, but a losing record??? Can you say, NO RUN SUPPORT?? They don't score many for this guy, and he's pitched great all year. I'm not looking for that to change today, so I'm passing the side, and going down UNDER. NOTE: HP UMP is 4-15 O/U this year and also favors the VISITORS 13-6 (and this time, keep the RAIN away! sheesh!)

UNDER 9 EVEN

Love the writeups Rander, and I hate playing unders but playing the ATL under (uh oh, it;s doomed).
Are you getting -120 though, cause i am getting under 9 even at at least 2 books.

Nitpicking, but still wondering.

Thanks man!

Edit: Forgot to mention the NYM has dropped to 7.5 in some spots, what's your take then?
Waiting to see the Phil over in there

Anaheim at TAMPA BAY

I've said it before, this kid WASHBURN is for real. He's been on fire since MAY, not losing til last week to the BIG UNIT when the BP let him down. He only gave up 3 ER, but left after 5 innings. He didn't have his best stuff that day, but hopefully that was a fluke. REKAR has one win all year... and it was against, GUESS WHO?? YEP, he beat the ANGELS and Valdes back in May, right here in FLA 4-3. I don't think that means a whole lot, but it may give him some confidence. I'm not ready to lay 160 on the Road with these Angels, so I'm passing.

thanks thisisbad... I corrected it.

Phila at MONTREAL

Well there is a consensus play on the OVER here at MJ's, and I'm not gonna buck the trend. FIGUEROA in his only road start walked five, and gave up five hits in five innings. Our HP UMP calls a lot of balls, so I look for him to have to groove a few too many today and with the HOT EXPO bats, it'll cost him. ARMAS is a good pitcher that went thru a bad spell for awhile, but came back strong in his last outing at home, giving up only 7 hits and 1 run in over 7 innings. I look for him to go at least 7 today to try and salvage the BP, and if they push it, it may get him in trouble late. HOWEVER, I think MONT will have a nice cushion by then and it'll simply solidify the OVER play.

MONTREAL -115

My bad Rander, i didn't mean for you to go back or think it was an error, i was just hoping you were getting a good line on it.

Thanks for the great writeups man, i appreciate it

I don't want to fill up your post, so i am editing. Rekar left game with an apparent right Shoulder injury, that's from ESPN.

Can't believe I missed it, since I play so many UNDERS, but ANA/TBAY was an UNDER play. REKAR is 1-11 or whatever, but his ERA at home is 4.67, over a run less than his overall. As I had mentioned, he had beaten the ANGELS in May pitching a good game, BUT the main reason this should have been a play, he's the LEAST supported pitcher in baseball right now, only receiving 2.8 rpg. With TBAY only scoring 3 runs the last two games and a tough lefty going for ANAHEIM, I should have caught it. Just wanted to mention it so to keep it in mind the next REKAR pitches, if he's going against a good pitcher, look to go UNDER.

** REKAR left today after one inning, anyone know why?? NO runs were scored... ANGELS are rallying now though, up 2-0 and threatening for mo!

ANGELS WIN!! ANGELS WIN!!! WOW... what is that four in a row?!?! They're finally getting key hits to go with the great pitching they've had. WASHBURN worked out of a bases loaded no out situation in the 7th that was huge... I had the ANGELS in a little parlay with FLA,ATL UN, and the CUBS, so I'll be a CUBS fan tonite! I try a parlay on some of the consensus picks from the MJ crew, and it works out well. WELL, the last 3 days it has!

Milwaukee at LOS ANGELES

WRIGHT has been pitching very well of late and I could see him shutting down L.A. here. DODGERS limp into the game batting only .195 over the last ten games, .168 vs RH. MILW is not much better coming in at .219, .213 vs RH. Wright has faced the DODGERS twice, and they scored 1 and 2 runs in those games. The BREWERS get to face a journeyman knuckleballer Dennis Springer instead of PROKOPEC, and after being shut out twice by PARK this year, the slow throwing SPRINGER may be just what they need. Although I'd like to go UNDER in this game, I can't due to uncertainty of LA's starter, and Sheffield status (left yesterday's game) so I'll take the BETTER pitcher at EVEN money, and hope they get into the LA BULLPEN EARLY!

St. Louis at HOUSTON

I'm passing on this game, although the OVER looks tempting after yesterday's game. I think you have to play it one of two ways though. Either ST. LOUIS and UNDER, figuring that MORRIS pitches well, or HOUSTON and OVER and the barrage continues. I kinda like STL getting +150, but I can't bet against HOUSTON right now they way they are ALL hitting. AGAIN, if you play HOUSTON, I'd play em on the RUN LINE as no game in last 12 now has been decided by 1 run.

my OAK 8 play is the OVER btw.... only 2 games in the last 10 played between these two at HOMERDOME have stayed under 8. I doubt it does tonite, but feel free to scratch it from record.

Gonna end with a BANG!!!
biggrin.gif
I hope!

BONDS in in the lineup tonite against CHACON and ESTES has not been stellar... with SF BP getting a break last nite, I'm REALLY LIKING SF to take it to COLORADO HARD!!!!!

I feel like Britney Spears... OOPS! I did it again! Went from 7-6 +.25, down to 6-10 -5.15 real fast!

Fricking Bonds... why didn't he just rest his stupid sore back and sit out!
rolleyes.gif

I was having a decent nite til then...

I thought I had won the BOSTON game, (which turned out to be a big play for me as I ended up with MORE on it since I clicked the wrong box, giving me 196 to win 140 instead of 140/100) So when I saw BONDS was in, got greedy a bit and went for it riding my little wave I had been on. Well the tide turned quickly as BASEBALL TONIGHT soon showed me, as BOSUX blow it in bottom of 9th, and they update the SF game and show me an ailing BONDS meekly hitting a grounder in a scoreless game. RIGHT as I was sitting down to eat dinner with the wife... sheesh. There went my appetite!

WHEN Bobby Chacon is shutting you out, you know you're in for a long nite.... then to add to my demise, they pull it out in the BOTTOM of the ninth, but not enough to cover the RUN LINE I jumped on. At least the SF backers got paid, alot of us needed that after the BOSTON game. Oh well, TGIF!
