Laying off again tonight. Really looked hard at Texas minus the points though as well as V. Tech at home to Old Dom but neither warrants a play IMO.

Texas game is very tough to cap. True Woffard covered vs. Tennessee but it was Tennessee's home opener and first game of the season. You could tell they had the jitters from excitement as they only shot 37% from the field in the first half but put in 72% in the 2nd. Woffard stayed in the game from behind the ark. They also covered vs. Clemson, but in that game Clemson missed 22, yes 22 FREE THROWS.....unheard of. They make one fifth of those misses and the cover, they make half of them its a blow out.

True Texas has Arizona next Tuesday! So what does Barnes do? Does he play the starters most of the first half, get a big lead, and then give others some playing time to help build depth.....OR does he give each of them some significant playing time to help prepare for 2 big games coming up knowing he has 5 days before the battle with the Cats? Too tought to tell!

I will say this though, Woffard just doesn't match up with this experienced upper classmen dominated team. Sam Daniels and Berg will struggle all night vs. the front line of 6-8 235 lb Thomas, 6-8 235 lb Buckman and 6-8 228 lb Boddiker who can also take people out and drain from long distance. Add to the front line TWO SENIOR guards in Mouton and his accurate long range shooting and Ivey who is very stong defensively and I see match up issues EVERYWHERE! IN addition, you have a PJ Tucker at 6-5 playing guard....this kid is really helping to fill the void left by TJ Ford.....

Woffard has some good shooters that have kept them in some key games already this year....but mark my word.....they haven't faced the defensive pressure that they will face tonight in Austin!

If I were to play it I would lean to the horns, but just too many unknowns for me!

Like V-Tech in Blacksburg, but Old Dom searching for that first win and didn't look to bad vs. NC or St Joes scares me.

IS it me or are the Lake Show only favored by 2 points over my beloved mavs tonight without Dirk? HMMMMMM, smells a little fishy. I would think Lakers HUGE, as I am sure most will, but with a fishy line, mavs best player out, and Lake Show coming off a hard fought come back battle last night on the road to the Spurs??????

Staying away as well......
