im taking my chances on the A's for the series sweep. Zito has definately had a better half this season since developing his 2 seam fastball, which has been getting quick on right handed batters. This has been Zito's best month by far with a 2-2 record and a ERA below 3. Oakland has outscored the O's this season 32-13 including 2 shutouts. Oakland is tops in defense this year in the American League, which has helped them reach 1st place in the Old West.
SAN DIEGO/NEW YORK OVER 8.5 -120.......$50
both pitchers have been giving up some runs lately and this just seems a bit low for a thursday afternoon game in NY. Nevin has been hitting the ball well with 2HR's and 7 RBI's in his last 7 games. Eaton's ERA this month has been at 6.74 and Trachsel's has been right there at 4.70 as well this month. Pad's are looking for a 4 game sweep of the METS. hopefully I can see a game like Monday where the Pad's won 9-4, since then it has been low scoring
