2-0 yesterday for +2.0 units. Record is 125-106/+10.07 units. Let's make some more $$$$$$$:
San Fransisco +100 over Philly
I like the Giants and Ortiz to bounce back here. Ortiz got roughed up in a bad way his last start and the Phillies beat the Giants last night as well. That's not a reason to shy away from this but more a reason to play the team and the pitcher to rebound tonight IMO. I love getting back on a quality pitcher who had it bad last start. If they have any kind of professional pride they will usually bounce back with a strong effort. Along with Bonds back in the line-up I like the fact the Giants have always hit lefthanders particularly well. Outside of LA no one else comes close in the NL. In fact this year on the road they have pounded out a .303 batting average against them. Take into account the Phillies have only been hitting .230 against righthaders in their last 10 and I think the Giants are the superior team anyway, have to think SF is the play here. It's nowhere near a sure thing but at +100 I like the play.
Reds -115 over LA
Dessens has been red hot. In his last 3 he is 2-0 with a 0.46 ERA! For LA Perez is 0-3 with a 7.16 ERA in his last three outings. To make it worse the Reds have a .310 batting average against lefties in their last 10 games. I'm looking for the home team Reds to bounce back from an ugly loss yesterday. The Dodgers are only 6-14 in their last 20 games while the Reds have won 6 of their last 8 games heads up against LA. While it looks good on paper don't mistake this one as a mismatch. This will be a close one but I believe the Reds are the right side here.
Toronto -160 against KC[
I won't get off Halladay until he starts to lose. This guy has been a cash cow for me this year. I see more and more getting on him and will resist the urge to abandon him for one more start. He is getting close to pricing himself too high. Still this guy has quality stuff and is 7-0 on the road this year. In addition he has pitched very well against KC, 2-0 with a 1.83 ERA in the books for his career. While Toronto is no world beaters they are playing much better than the 2-8 record the Royals have put up lately. Besides Halladay having a big advantage over Hernandez who has only pitched 12 innings all year, they are swinging the bats much better as well. In their last 10 while the Royals are hitting only .227 the Jays are hitting .286 against righthanders. I'm close to jumping off this Halladay horse but hope he has one more in him for me.
That's my three games for today. Instead of boxing them in the trifecta only box them in the quinela. I feel much better about my shots at winning 2 instead of all 3. LOL. Good luck men!
