UTEP -4 over North Texas *****
The hottest team in the Con USA is UTEP....hard to believe since they started the season 2-10...they are 9-15 but 7-5 on conf...they have won 4 out of last 5...knocked off Mid Tenn by 3 pts, the best team in the conf..they just blew So Miss out by 30..lost to La Tech the 2nd best team by 1 pt...beat Marshall by 20 on the rd...beat UAB by 4...North Texas lost to most of those by a lot...NT had lost 11 in a row and then beat FAU by 6,,,but 2 days later got blown away by FIU...Miners have 2 outstanding gds leading them...Harris and Artis who both are avg 15-16 pts...UTEP as 7'1 Williams and 6'8 Thomas inside...NT
s problem is they have no front line players inside...they have to start Temara at 6'9 and he can't score...with Combs gone and Johnson not playing they start 2 freshman Lawson and Woolridge and these kids are playing pretty good.. Reese is the pt gd...there will be no crowd what so ever....with a lame duck coach and losing record no one is showing up to the games...Artis is the kid from Oregon and he can play..he has 146 assists which more then the North Texas entire team...think Miners will continue to play the way they have been playing esp vs a poor defensive team...if NT loses tonite this will eliminate them from the conf playoffs....its going to happen anyway.....
Siena -8 over Manhattan ***
Saints are so up and down....looked they they made a run then get blown out by Monmouth....they are 7-4 at home...12-15 overall.....they really have the best starting 5 overall in the MAAC..player for player..but that doesn't mean anything...Wright is the 2nd best pt gd and had 36 pts the other nite,, . Ogun inside is tough.. Long can shoot and Clareth is back....Jaspers are 3-10 on the rd...give up 81 pts a game...Turner and Waterman have been the only consistent scorers .... 3 weeks ago Siena beat MC 81-68 @ MC.Bip had 24, Wright 18,Long 13 and Clareth was suspended..he is back avg 12 pts....MC has lost last 4 of 5 with the lone win over my Marist...think Siena beats the Jaspers by double digits...
Nigara +14.5 over Monmouth *
Hawks are on a roll..won 12 or 13 in a row..in 1st place...just crushed Siena 102-82....but other then that blowout they are not beating up any teams...they beat MC,Rider Marist by 6,5,and 12...beat Peter by 1,,,,a few weeks go they did beat fairfield and Quinn by 19 and 30...Purple is not getting blown away...think Purple have enough offensive players to stay within the number...small play because Hawks are capable of winning this by 25....
Zaga -21 over SF Dons **
The line was 22 but saw it dropped....at home these guys are in the zone....Dons aren't to bad a team....
