La Laf -14.5 over So bama ******
Going to use my formula but this is a "seeing eye " game...got to see both of these teams close up ,almost on the floor, right behind there benches...I know So Bama's out of bounds play...and Laf's "4" out of bounds...two different style teams...Tex St did beat So Bama 72-69 and Laf just gave Tx St a whupping or " beat down"...Jags have one outstanding player in pt gd Sikes...He can dribble, shoot and penetrate...very hard to stop..but he is 6'1 and weighs 145 pounds..thats what the program said..to me he weighs about 130 pounds...but is so quick and can stop on a dime...but for a pt gd he never, ever, ever passes...in the Tx game he had about 5 or 6 dribble penetrations and either forced it up or shot...so looking at his stats last nite I was "shell shocked"...in his last 8 games including the Tex game he has 26 pts 1 assist...15 pts 0 assists,18 pts -3 ass,16 pts 1,18 pts 2,27 points 1 assist and 31 pts and 1 assist....thats 116 points and 9 assist...and he is your pt gd...
Bama is not a good offensive team, shooting Fg% is bad,3 pt shooting weak,FT % bad, rebounding avg but def rebounding worse ,..defense only gives up 66 pts a game... they have a good record beating up some of the Suns weaker teams...they just lost to Troy at home last week by 15...when they play teams with good offenses they have trouble with there one strength defense.. UTA beat them 91-67...
Cajuns are tough...athletic and quick and strong...Bartley,Stove and Stroman their gds are built like linebackers. they are all 6'3 and 6'4...their other shooting gd is 6'6 Marquette who looks like a string bean but can shoot the ball...inside they have Gant and Washington...both wide bodies that can rebound...then 6'7 Miller comes in...built like the "pillsberry doughboy" at 6'7 and 260 pounds...a lefty that can stick 3's..soft touch shot...and can rebound...so much depth...it was nice I was sitting next to Bartly 3 father of Bartley 4...at the game...but Bartley 4 is some player..he got into fouls trouble but talk about a defensive player...He shut down Tx St top scorer...Pearson avg 15 pts a game..he had 5 points and shot 3-18.there is no doubt Bartley will be on Sikes
tonite... think Laf wins this by +20 at home...
