I'm no Ace but I'm coming off two nice wins in Penn and Niagara the L2 nights.
Not sure how much I can add to Box and One's write-up:
A couple of more thoughts:
1. Rider's stud Johnson is still not 100% after bruising his right knee in the Feb 3 vs Siena. His leg was bandaged last time out and his injury was a factor in their loss to St. Peter's.
2. Rider has no depth, especially compared with Iona. Rider's starters have been playing 30+ minutes/game, they really only have 2 other guys to come in off the bench. This time of year that means tired legs, esp. in 2H, like Canisius last nite.
3. In the game in Nov between these two, Iona led almost the whole way and was up 16 at one point. Rider never really was in the game.
4. Iona has won 4 of 5 in Lawrenceville.
5. Iona is a different and IMO a better team than the one that faced Rider in Nov. Center Jenkins went out for the season just after that game; he was the centerpiece of the Iona offense when he was in the line-up (he was 8-12 vs Rider). Now Fields, Smith and others have stepped up and IMO Iona is a more dangerous team now.
6. Iona has played well on the road; they've lost to better home teams like Fairfield and Niagara and beaten those that they should.
7. Iona needs this game to stay in the MAAC race more than Rider.

Iona +1.5 over Rider
Wrong team is favored.I had Iona -2 or 3.Iona is much quicker, more athletic, and explosive.Fast gds can stay with Johnson.Rider won a few in a row but then blew a game the other day.Iona starts 4 freshmen and they play like typical NYC cathlolic league players.
Iona wins outright.
