Going to the game to support a fundraiser for ALS society. We got great seats for a good price for a great cause... and now the game.

Yesterday the Jays fired Shane Hillenbrand for his ongoing issues detrimental to the team. According to the Toronto media, Shane wrote on the chalk board in the dressing room that the team is a sinking ship. He also apparently ripped the Canadian flag from his jersey/hat on Canada Day. He's apparently been a cancer in the dressing room for a while and management needs to go through his agent whenever they need to talk to Shane. This was reported last night and they fired the goof. They sent him for assignment and will be on the market for 10 days...

With this I this going on the Jays will be ready for this series. They send their ace to the mound vs Mussina. Both teams coming off a lose and a great pitching matchup.

Taking the Jays for 2 bills to stop the bleeding and take game 1 of this important series. The game will be almost sold out tonight so it should be a great atmosphere.

Good luck

Be careful here. I am on the Yanks. Remember what happened to Arizona with there distractions. In seeing interviews with Jays players it sounds like the are backing Shea and not happy with the way he was singled out at meetings. The say it is not a professional atmosphere. There is division amongst the ranks.

yeah, after hearing all the garbage that came out with Shane...i'm really surprised about his attitude on this ballclub..from what i know he really hasn't been a cancer on any ball team he's been on...?
Kind of strange events for this team...let's see how they'll respond tonite. If he was a cancer on the team then the Jays should send a message in this series and take out the Yanks.
Gl tonite.

Any player who can't talk to his coach by himself and needs to go through his agent in order to communicate is pretty stupid. If this was the case, I don't know how his hitting would be enough to keep him on the team this long. The guy makes loads of cash and while money is not everything, he definitely has some problem between those ears of his. The Jays are a tight ball club. The coach is a players coach and I think everyone is happy being there. I dont think the Arizona situation is the same as this. Shane has been fired and is now a thing of the past.

I think the Jays are definitely going to give the Yanks a run for their money and with all the Yanks injuries I think the Jays are in a good spot with their ace on the mound. Jays are in a tough division but Yanks have issues and boston has their own as well.. Jays need this series pretty badly to maintain their course.
