I went a terrible 3-4 last night losing a large play on E Ill. Bought back some at the half but not enough to improve the bottom line. I think that I took Poonie down with me too as I put the kiss of death on his plays...Just have a feeling that a cold streak may be looming after a really great 3 weeks or so.

UIC +8' (3)

Those lovable (F) Lames may be the unluckiest team in America. They are almost always right there only to fail to notch the W. Their depth ain't the greatest 2 deep and winning is a learning process so the first half play might be a better way to go here. However, I'm grabbing this while I can because I can only see the number falling if it moves at all. This Detroit team is a far cry from the talented 7-8 deep team they put on the floor last season.. For example, J Howard Jr. is their #1 scoring option but last season may have been their 5th or 6th best player. McCallum has some serious deficiencies as a coach as well. I'll frequently play against the Titans ASAP in the role of a favorite and have had this event circled for a couple of weeks now.

More coming after totals are up....

I was figuring Tol would be more than 3' pt fav--your take on this game?

I never thought you would ask...:soapbox:

Well, If there was ever a number that begged for Toledo money then this is it. My take on this game is that Miami has performed at a much higher level since the return of their big guy, Edwards. He's a load and had missed more than a season of action with various injuries. They also matchup fairly well at the guards. Toledo has been allowing teams to hang around and one of these days they are going to get bit by the dog once again like they were at Western. Top two teams here in the MAC in FG% and two bottom teams in defensive 3 pt FG % . Both teams decent from the stripe near the bottom in scoring defense. So I suppose that the over has a lot of appeal here despite the big number. I'll be on Miami as well. Dogs have been kicking some real ass in this conference.

Settle for nothing , now or later, other than a Miami cover in a high scoring game.

The plays, all for 2 units unless noted

FH: UIC +4'

FH :Del / W&M under 74
DEL/ W&M under 154 (1)
154 All recent matchups of these two have not reached this number

J Mad / NE over 123 (3)
In first match up these two shot very poorly from the stripe, stats indicate that this number is too low.

FH: Ford/VCU Under 72'
Can the dog score enough to push this over? I have my doubts

Mia Oh +3' (1)
Tol/Mia over 148

W Mich +5' (1)
I can't ever take a bite of the Broncs as a chalk but often have a taste for them as the dog. Very
inconsistent team

FH :CMU +8 (3)
The Bobkittens have developed a tendency to start slowly. Keno's boys are never a bargain but usually at least compete. They played Akron tough in last outing.

FH: Central Mich / OU under 64'

BG +7 (1) This freaking EMU team owes me money... a lot of money. I'm jumping off tonight which is almost a guarantee that the eagles will cover.

FH : BG/ EMU under 55' (3)
BG/EMU under 118'

These two both play a pretty solid zone defense and both have no idea of how to attack one when they have the ball. Actually neither has prolific shooters to get over the top. The first landed on 107 with both teams shooting in the low 30% range but that was offset by 58 FTs shot . Think about it now, with 58 freaking FTS between the two the game only landed on 107. If the officials let 'em bump a bit I like this one quite a bit

FH: NIU +6 ( -105)
Despite the record the Huskies are improved and can find a way to hang with an undisciplined Kent team. NIU took the Flushes to OT 2 weeks back and NIU should have an edge on the boards tonight

FH : NIU / Kent under 58' (3) The first game with these two landed on 116 in regulation before going to OT with 81, that's right 81 FTs. NIU can't shoot the ball.

Ball St / Akron under 131'
First meeting landed on 140 with 58 FTs. Again, need the refs to let them play.

FH: Ball State +8
Ball St +14

Big numbers here. The Cards played well and hung around in first game. Since then however, Akron has changed their starting lineup and has been riding their top guys a lot more. This has been effective so far. Tough call here that could go either way but what sways me is the Zips often start slowly then later on poor FT shooting which hinders their ability to close out game.

Emotions will run high at the JAR tonight with special purple out to aid Coach Peter's battle against pancreatic cancer. It doesn't look good for him, about a 5% chance of survival at the stage he's at. The Zips could be an emotional wreck or they may come out breathing fire to give Dan a special present. Nobody knows, but they love this guy as do I, he's a really good man.

Good luck buddy. That BG/EMU game should not be viewed by young children.

Whoa, It's a blast from the past.... Miss seeing you and Spacks around. Hopefully things will settle down, giving you more time for your hobbies. Word down here is that you killed it up at the horseshoe a while back. Hopefully you're still welcome on the premises.

Flip: thanks, couldn't come up with anything.

Still welcome but playing it safe. Need to win the next tournament to pay the taxes on the first one but that's a good problem to have.

Spacks and I are doing well. He's trying to finish up his doctorate and I am cashing in on a Obamacare. I still want to get together when I'm down in Akron which is about 2 times per week.

Keep posting the winners.

Yes, send me a text or email when you are down here for sure.

Mixed results so far tonight. Zips are playing their best game of the season, diving for loose balls and playing superbly on the defensive end.

2H plays.

Akron -5 (2)
Western +1'
OU over 72 (3)
Tol -1 (2)
Tol over 77' (2)
Det over 73 (3)'
