Keith,

Thanks bro! Chalky, yes, but a winner is a winner, and I don't play runlines. Best of luck to you today and every day.

thanks appreciate it. My only afternoon play is the Padres. Haven't decided on the night games yet.

Wise, read your comment in Hmmers thread about the Pirates. I agree they do play hard. I am from here and it is not like they don't have players and I follow them closely bc they are my fav team in PGH, PA.

From outsiders non-bias view, what do you think the problem is?

Well, where should I start Lee?

Let's start with the rotation. It always begins and ends with starting pitching right?

Duke
Santos
Snell
Maholm
Perez

Not good! Not because they lack talent, but because they're so young collectively. Not a single veteran in the rotation to help mentor these kids. Yeah, they have the pitching coach to lean on, but usually players want to listen and learn from other players who are fighting the same daily battles. There is no doubt in my mind that these kids can pitch at the major league level, but there will be a lot of losses along the way! Actually, I'm not sure that Perez will ever fulfill his promise. He has had enough time now at the major league level to prove his worth. Great stuff, but something is just missing with him.

I like the closer, Gonzalez, but he is as worthless as a milk bucket under a bull in that role. How often do the Pirates get to him with a lead? Maybe he should be in the rotation. Take advantage of one of your most talented players.

There are other problems, but I will address those another day.

Good stuff!! Colburn has screwed w/ Duke, Maholm and somewhat w/ Perez! Duke somewhat looks lost. Perez is just a mess and has lost like 8 mph's on his fastball. Team is just a mess and I cannot stand it anymore.

No, but he was a hater when I began posting here during the college basketball season. I think my success has shut him up. I wouldn't pay attention to what that guy has to say anyway. I respect a lot of people on this site, he is not one of them!

What's up Payne? Speaking of guys I respect on this site!

I don't really have a feeling on this one bro. I wouldn't back the A's because they have scored one run the past two nights. You know how Oakland is, very streaky! The A's will win 8 in a row, and then turn right around and lose 5 in a row. I can't back Peavy here either. He is pitching in pain. Never good! Good luck.

Payne, have you seen Washington play lately? The Nats are horrible! They scored a total of one run the past two nights in Toronto. Patterson is good, but he has pitched once since April. He spent most of the season so far on the DL. I don't think this one will be close.

Local didn't adjust his line on the Toronto game, so I'm going to throw another dime on the Jays. Looking to get the dime back that I lost on the Pale Hose.

TORONTO -220
Risking $1,100 to win $500 W

So that's a total of $2,200 to win $1,000 on the Jays tonight. Halladay, I know you'll bring your A game tonight. Let's do this!

Yeah, me too, but we can't second-guess that bet. The best team in baseball against one of the worst. One of the hottest teams in baseball against one of the coldest. Contreras against Duke. All you can do is tip your cap to the Pirates. I would make that bet 10 out of 10 times. Good luck tonight Allan!
