been takin one step forward and two steps back. last few stronger plays have hit (detroit over cleve state, kent over wmichigan). gotta try and weed out the bullshit plays that are costing me (duke over was absolutely retarded).

(strong play)
cleveland state (+9) over wisconsin-milwaukee (7:00pm tip)

not even sure if im going to play anything else on thursday night. for whatever reason, this game really stands out. ostensibly, probably looks like an ugly play. and im sure it begs the question of how i can have a strong play AGAINST csu on monday and then come back with a strong play ON them 3 days later. but this is a great spot for csu to catch milwaukee napping.
*the last 5:00 of the csu game on monday inflates this number a little bit. vikings trailed by 10-14 most of the game. then mailed it in and lost by 22.
*vikings match up very well with milwaukee. the detroit matchup on monday was far worse for cleveland state imo. titans are a physical team that vikings just couldnt handle on the quick turnaround from the road game saturday. milwaukee, on the other hand, really isnt the best team to take advantage of the csu deficiencies. panthers are not a good defensive team, and westley is capable of scoring on them inside. vikings need someone (tatham?) to step up and provide a 3rd option. csu does hold a definite rebounding edge here.
*csu has fared well vs uwm the last few years and a handful of games in cleveland have gone down to the wire.
*milwaukee on the 2nd game of a 4-game road trip. this is great sandwich spot. uwm is coming off a big road win vs their rival green bay that was a battle for 1st place in the horizon. and after csu, they travel to detroit and wright state- two huge games with conference implications.
this is a great spot for csu to hang close against a team that they match up well with, and its made even better since the panthers arent likely to be up for a csu team on an 11-game losing streak. uwm just in a significant sandwich spot. cant see them putting their best effort on display.
its kind of ironic that csu is last in the horizon and they match up well with the #1 team. but thats the way it is. detroit, butler, and illinois-chicago present far tougher matchups for cleveland state.
not uncommon even for power conference teams to fail in this role (first place team laying big points to conference doormat on the road). milwaukee has bigger fish to fry in the next few days. i feel just as confident with this play betting ON csu as i did on monday with my play AGAINST em.
