been takin one step forward and two steps back. last few stronger plays have hit (detroit over cleve state, kent over wmichigan). gotta try and weed out the bullshit plays that are costing me (duke over was absolutely retarded).

=============================================
(strong play)
cleveland state (+9) over wisconsin-milwaukee (7:00pm tip)
=============================================
not even sure if im going to play anything else on thursday night. for whatever reason, this game really stands out. ostensibly, probably looks like an ugly play. and im sure it begs the question of how i can have a strong play AGAINST csu on monday and then come back with a strong play ON them 3 days later. but this is a great spot for csu to catch milwaukee napping.

*the last 5:00 of the csu game on monday inflates this number a little bit. vikings trailed by 10-14 most of the game. then mailed it in and lost by 22.

*vikings match up very well with milwaukee. the detroit matchup on monday was far worse for cleveland state imo. titans are a physical team that vikings just couldnt handle on the quick turnaround from the road game saturday. milwaukee, on the other hand, really isnt the best team to take advantage of the csu deficiencies. panthers are not a good defensive team, and westley is capable of scoring on them inside. vikings need someone (tatham?) to step up and provide a 3rd option. csu does hold a definite rebounding edge here.

*csu has fared well vs uwm the last few years and a handful of games in cleveland have gone down to the wire.

*milwaukee on the 2nd game of a 4-game road trip. this is great sandwich spot. uwm is coming off a big road win vs their rival green bay that was a battle for 1st place in the horizon. and after csu, they travel to detroit and wright state- two huge games with conference implications.

this is a great spot for csu to hang close against a team that they match up well with, and its made even better since the panthers arent likely to be up for a csu team on an 11-game losing streak. uwm just in a significant sandwich spot. cant see them putting their best effort on display.

its kind of ironic that csu is last in the horizon and they match up well with the #1 team. but thats the way it is. detroit, butler, and illinois-chicago present far tougher matchups for cleveland state.

not uncommon even for power conference teams to fail in this role (first place team laying big points to conference doormat on the road). milwaukee has bigger fish to fry in the next few days. i feel just as confident with this play betting ON csu as i did on monday with my play AGAINST em.

Same here,..3 rules I'm following by learning the hard way;

#1. No moneylines,..stop being greedy and be happy with a cover when playing dogs (I,m mostly a dog player anyway)

#2. Stay away from the "baloney rinky dink" conferences,..ESPECIALY the West Coast Conference (can't pick a winner in that conference to save my life)

#3. Make every play for 1 unit and 1 unit only,..it's a marathon,..not a sprint,..it's allways the play I love that looses that can make the difference between a profitable night and a loosing one

adding (smaller):

===========================
bowling green/toledo under 148.5
===========================
tough to go under on a toledo game, since they play at a fast tempo and love to get up and down the floor. but i dont think dakich is going to let toledo control the tempo. bowling green did a great job of controlling the tempo vs a potent akron offense a week or so at the JAR. bgsu led 28-27 at halftime. final score of 77-72 was misleading as akron fouled like motherfu.ckers in the final minute or so. i think bowling green will establish their slower pace here. with this being the fiercest rivalry in the mac, i think even a suspect defensive team like toledo will make a commitment on that end tonight. this rivalry has not been a high scoring one of late.

last 5 meetings:
toledo 68 bg 64 (132)
toledo 73 bg 59 (132)
toledo 66 bg 62 (128)
bg 76 toledo 57 (133)
toledo 74 bg 64 (138)

Is the Cleveland play a 3 star play? Hopefully both you and Cleve State can turn it around tonight. I had Cinc last night also, typical Huggins team when facing a press.

What's your record for the year based on the units played? I recall you use to base your plays on 1-3 units, does this play fall into the 3 unit category?

I have you at 54-66 for the year based on plays posted here at Madjacks and this includes your halftime plays for a total of -16 units. But I think you have begun to rebound in the past week and I am sure that you will be in the positive by next week. I was just curious if it was a 3* plays since you have been solid in the past on your larger plays.

Whats my record spiro? Don't you have anything better to do than bug the gman. Give him a break, he is one of the better cappers in here. We all go through our tough times he will bounce back. You will see. and if it means anything to you gman i am having my troubles this month also. Best of luck to you

Spiro, why in the world would you question gman's record? Aren't you the same guy that's BOOKING his bets?

I have no idea about the relationship between Gman and Spiro but from reading the thread, I do not see him putting Gman down rather than just trying to see how he does. We are all here to help one another and it would be nice if everyone posted their records so people are more aware of how a capper is doing overall.

Have to agree with Grizape, I don't think Spiro is trying to bust his balls he just wanted to know what the unit amount on the play was for tonight and it sounds like he has actually won money following Gman in the past. Also, agree with Grizape on the posting of records, it seems to me that when guys stop posting their records they are losing but once they start to win again out pops a new record. I dont even post plays because I know I suck in basketball, I try to coattail the posters here that are winning and I really wish I had the time like Spiro to monitor guys plays that don't post their records, but since I dont I just assume if their record has disappeared they are down.

rrc:

it comes with the territory man. the guy has all kinds of different names on the various sites he posts at. (he posts the same stuff at another site under the nickname "senor capper". just tons of free time on his hands). i still get a kick out of him saying hes a madjacks veteran; not hard to see he registered 2 weeks ago. ive just accepted the fact that some guys are just absolute losers in life. not going to worry about him posting here. doesnt really bother me. hes the one who has to wake up in the morning to that life.

bear:

gl man. hope weve got a winner with the vikings ;)

bottom line is these bashers have agendas. not hard to see through it. i dont see them in fletchers, nickelbacks, goats, or anyone elses threads saying the same stuff.
