three plays:
ohio +2: butler has been a huge public play all day, yet the line has moved from -2 to -1- and even -1 in some places - why is that? also, a quick scan tells me ohio is something like 10-1 ats as a home dog over the last three years. i'll take a stab.
s ala +18: bulldogs haven't played since before thanksgiving, good chance for a little rust against an uninspiring opponent. but, these two schools are fairly close regionally speaking, so most of the kids playing for the jags were probably passed on by msu; one jag (cowherd) is even a msu tranfer. all that translates to a motivational edge for usa imo. also, that's probably why s alabama has kept all eight prior meetings between these two schools within single digits and, believe me, that has included some pretty sorry s alabama teams. jags look to slow things down anyway, which should help keep them within this generous number.
neb/uab under 138: these are two primarily defensive teams whose early offensive numbers are a bit inflated by playing cupcakes. throw in the fact that, since this is the espn game tonight, the o/u betting is probably running about 80/20, further inflating the total. so, call me the undertaker.
