Found some time to update my record and expound on some of my selections from yesterday... As well as convince myself to make a couple action plays.

Here goes:

FINAL REGULAR SEASON RECORD: (1 unit= $100)

Big 12: 31-17-2 (+$1,889)
Other conferences: 12-7 (-$34)
Total: 43-24-2 (+$1,855)

Updated Postseason record:

0-1 (-$50)

Yesterday update: Penn St. didnt have quite enough to stave off the Scarlet Knights.

Here were my other two picks from the NIT:

Minnesota -3 (WF), -110, 55-50... (Adding today) UM -2.5, -108, 27-25
---- The Gophs can really play at home, and it is always interesting when they play against a team that has players that havent played inside of the quirky Barn.
I think Grier gets his numbers, and ends Wakes disapointing season.
Also, everyone, their mother, father, and brother is on the Demon Deacons... I guess I really dont understand this, but whatever... It seems as though wise guys and public are uniting on the other side of this one. I guess I will root with Vegas.

Colorado -6 (OD), -104, 104-100
---- Is there a better capping strategy than playing CU at home and fading them on the road? Nope.
OD lungues will be burning while trying to keep up with Roby, who should come out gunning.
Public is also uniting on Colorado on this one. I might have to settle for a "square-split" on these two :mj07:

Thursday NCAA Tourney

Texas A&M PK (Syr.), -101, 202-200
--- This one wont be an upset, and will be my largest first round wager. I tabbed TAMU as a sleeper team that could go a long way in the tournament a few weeks ago, and their draw has me believing that a lot more.
They are very balanced and Jones is an absolute hoss. McNamaras run is over. This team is running on fumes, after having defeated four very good teams in 90 hours.

Wisc-Mil +2 (Okl.), +101, 150-151.50, (Adding today) UWM +2.5, -102, 51-50
---- Oklahoma disapointed me to end the season, and it is easy to see why. They have no guard play. Now, apparently, they also have a distraction from the sideline.
This is a recipe for disaster.
If UWM jumps out to a lead, this one is over. Oklahoma will try to grind them into a pulp, but with no point guard, it is going to be difficult when UWM decides to ratchet up the pressure.

S. Alabama +8 (Fla.) 50-50, +100
--- South Alabama can play defense, and I am still not convinced that Florida has learned how to play in the tournament. I have picked against them in the first round the last few years and have come out smiling.
8 points seems very generous to me, and I am willing to take it.

Xavier +5.5 (Gon) 100-100, +100
--- I am going to add on to this one (half unit). From the opening line to the movement since it came out, it seems to me that Vegas is pegging an outright upset in this one.
Gonzaga is content to play down to its competition, and the scary part about that in this one is Xavier is better than any team they have seen in a while. Wouldnt be surprised to see them rip off the "shocker" or at least make Morrison have one of his 40 point games to pull off a close one down the stretch.

Alabama +2 (Mar.) 53.50-50, -107
--- Just a hunch. Havent been all that impressed with Marquette this year... They play in a tough conferance and have a little bit of talent and are well coached. That is all well and good and got them this far, but I think their season ends tomorrow.
The Tide play tough and will have something to prove.

Indiana -2 (SDSU) 105-100, -105
--- I am never one to play many favorites in the first two rounds of the tourney, and I will do everything to talk myself out of taking a favorite if I happen to like one. Couldnt do it here however.
Indiana is going to view themselves as an underdog. They have been maligned all year (actually the last couple of years) and all the pressure finally built up to Davis quitting. These guys have nothing to lose, and not only that, they have everything to prove.
Killingsworth is a beast, one of the most dominant guys I have seen this year, and I see Davis pounding the ball into him for the duration of the game.
In my bracket, I actually picked the Hoosiers to make the Elite 8, and I toyed with putting them into the Final 4. I think they have a great, great draw. The downside, of course, is that you never know with this team. They could bow out early and get ambushed by the Aztecs, or they could get on a roll and shock people. This is the most interesting team in the tournament, IMO... probably not the makings of a great bet, but I have a feeling about these guys.

Winthrop +7 (Ten.) 52.50-50, -105
--- I can see Tennessee allowing Winthrop to pull off the shocker, and I definately see a close game.
Tennessee is overseeded, overrated, and over confident. Their party will be ending before it starts if they dont take these guys seriously :sadwave: . I didnt have the nuts to write in an outright upset in my bracket, but if I join one that gives points based on seeds winning, I would definately take that chance :scared .

ADDING TWO: (Read: action plays)

Utah St. +6.5 (Wash.), -109, 54.50-50
--- Anytime you can get 6.5 points with a team that has the ability to pull off the upset, I think their is good value. Washington played in the sorry Pac 10, and didnt show a whole lot.

Montanta +6.5 (Nev.), -105, 52.50-50
--- Read above...
Except Nevada played in the pathetic WAC.

Heading back tomorrow to my weather damaged abode.
Would it be too much to ask to get CBS on the plane?

GL guys!

Alright, this is sick and way too many games to be betting.

But the more I thought about this one, the more it made sense. And I figured I would post it if I was going to play it:

La. Tech +7 (Clem.), +101, 50-50.50
---- Made some good money with La. Tech this year, notably when they played the Wolfpack a few months back.
Millsap is a hoss who has 1st round aspirations. He will get a chance to showcase his skills against a higher level of competition in this one.
I think LTU will keep this one close, maybe pull off an upset if Millsap can control the game from the post.

Im officially done until tomorrow... I hope...

Lets hope the dogs have a nice couple of days, or else I might have to ask for an extension on my rent payment...

Hope tonight sends you right into a great run in the Big One! With you on Colo (like those burning lungs) and Minny. Playing Syr and Oky tomorrow, but with you on Indy, Bama, and Xavier. Let's win those together. GL :mj06:

My two biggest plays of tomorrow are against you, so you know I wont be wishing you any luck on those, my friend...

Glad to see you on Indiana... I was getting lonely with the Hoosiers.
