i really hope this doesn't fall into the category of 'too easy'.
louisville (-4) 3 units. had a huge play on the cardinals against the fighting irish last year, only to end up taking one of the worst beats ever, as notre dame rained in 3's from everywhere on the court the last 5 minutes or so to get the backdoor cover. that is one of those losses you never forget. had an equally huge play on the cardinals against the fighting irish about 5 weeks ago, and lucked out in OT. i see no reason to stop making a large wager on louisville against notre dame. it's just such a bad matchup for nd. their only real ballhandler is jackson, and he is a turnover waiting to happen. now i'm going to throw out a bunch of stats (most of these are not verified), all of which probably guarantee a loss... louisville has covered all 5 road games this year (all in conference). louisville is 8-2 ATS in conference. loiuisville is 21-3 ATS in road games the last 3 years. nd is 1-6 their last 7 as a dog. nd is 2-8 ATS in conference.
northwestern (+2) 2 units. i'm really not sold on illinois as being a decent team. here are their last 4 road games... L at michigan, L at michigan state, L at minnesota (scoring 36 points!), and an L at wisconsin (who had lost 6 straight games). northwestern has actually become decent at home, winning 3 straight games following a 2-point loss to purdue.
