Agree 100% with taking Maryland. . . Arizona may be getting too much credit here. . . obviously I won't bet against my team, but Maryland is a solid play.
i'm not betting on Luke Walton myself.....gonna take a few games for this team to gel......unfortunately, there were way too many players leaving early from Az......bad decisions.....
Hoops, with you on the Maryland pick. Ariz wasn't a deep team last year and return only 1 starter (Gardner). Maryland returns excellent backcourt of Blake and Dixon and have a slimmed-down Lonny Baxter in the post. With the losses of Wright, Woods, and even Edgerson, Ariz should be overmatched in the paint. Freeze, you're right about poor decisions on Arizona players coming out early, mainly Arenas and Wright. I thougt I saw Wright was released by the Knicks, and since he was a 2nd rd pick, he doesnt get a guaranteed contract. sad. Also, it's hard to imagine that when Gardner and Jason Williams of Duke came out of H.S. together a few years ago, most scouts had them rated about equal! Anyways, good luck and it's great to see college hoops back!
Phoenix- If you can, try and find an 11..wait a little longer..if not, grab the 11.5. Not the best of numbers, but still think Maryland wins by 15+. Good luck!
Bad call on the Terps...shocking that they would lose outright...not sure what it is with Williams not having his teams ready to start the season. Hopefully Zona's win will give some value to their line against Florida.
