NYI PK -130

Over 5 Edm/Car -130

good luck!

Here are the write ups and plays-

Boston - 1/2 720/600-

I know the Kings have been hot, but I am playing against a situation in this one back to back and 3rd in 4 nights for Kings. Bruins have also been hot over their last 10 and they are a very good home team. Also feel Dafoe is the better goalie.

NYI PK -130 520/400

Playing against another situation, Montreal 1st game at home after 7 game road trip- also feel that the Islanders are the better team and they have better special teams than the Habs.

Phil - 1/2 260/200

Another situation in this one similar to the Kings- back to back and 3rd in 4 nights for the Devils. I think Boucher is playing better than Brodeur and NJ has been very inconsistent and they are not a quality road team.

Over 5 Edm/Car 520/400

Carolina has gone over the total in 8 of their last 10. Carolina is 13-4 over on the road this year. Those two stats alone make this a play for me but I also like that Salo has been shaky of late and Edmonton is puting the puck in the net.

good luck!

BOS will probably be my play today

BOS will probably be my play today

I need to look at it more, but I really think BOS either on ML or puck line is a solid play tonight. Dafoe is rested with Graeme having played in PIT. The only issue I see is the old "first game back after a road trip" theory for BOS, but with LA playing last night I think BOS is in a good spot. They have been as hot and as good as any team in the league of late.

Junkie,

Personally, I wouldn't worry about Boston coming home tonight. They only played 1 game on the road at Pittsburgh. The 2 games prior to that were home vs. Toronto and then Washington.

That's not like how the Canadiens are going to feel coming home tonight after a 7 game road show.

Good luck tonight.

Jim

Right before I was going to post this I read Sam's post and he further stregthened my thoughts on tonights games.

I was just going to say that the Bruins are my strongest play tonight-

after seeing Sam, SJ, and Horns all on the Bruins it definitely reinforces my opinion.

good luck-

I was looking at NYI vs MTL too but decided against it.

NYI has only 3 wins in their last 8 games. At ATL, and at home vs. PIT and MTL. They had to win the MTL game at home in OT after getting up 5-1 and giving up 4 unanswered goals. I am not confident enough in NYI's play right now to back them on the road. I just don't like to try to pick who will win when 2 teams are struggling like NY and MTL have been.

The over might be a good idea. In the last 5 games MTL is giving up an avg of 4.8 (7 to EDM though) goals per game and NY 3 per game. What do you think on that total, Chenker???

SJ-

I defnitely would not play the under in that one but it is hard to say how these teams will play, I think the Habs will be flat because of their long road trip. I also think that both of the teams might be trying to get at least a point and playing this one close to the vest. I definitely like the over in the Car/Edm game better but the NYI/Mont should go over.

good luck!

New York outshot Calgary 37-25, including a 20-3 edge in the final frame, when Flames goalie Roman Turek stood strong.
If they come out that strong tonight montreal is done before the start of the second, the fans will get on there case real fast if thats the case.

The Islanders have lost three of their last four at Montreal, and they have won just twice in their last eight trips to Quebec (2-5-1). These two teams are each 7-7-2 in the last 16 meetings

Coach therrien played softy whit his guys. When talking about his goally he said "I love my father but never told him(thats where i started to cry, i think pressure is starting to get to him) and that he thaught of kicking some buts but just decided to treath is guy like professional.
I dont like montreal in this spot.
Therrien should have shaken them.
NYISL will come out strong, Theo or hackett(they both suck lately) wont be able to stop so many shut (outshot Calgary 37-25, including a 20-3 )if they score early this is gona be a long night.
Hopefully odjicj wont play cose he will take a stupid penality.
This is not a final play but i'm leaning toward NYISL

hellah10,

Glad to see you in the hockey forum, too bad there is no NHL team in Toledo otherwise you would be nailing us some winners as you did all college football season. Only 7 months away from College Football. Where do you think RB Chester will go in the draft? Welcome to the Penalty Box!:)

Hellah, it basically means that you never really stop learning new things, or a least shouldn't. That is the way I chose to interpret it. Sort of like "you learn something new everyday".

2-1 on night +2.8 units

Obviously a bad decision on the Isles, impressed with how the Habs played in the first home game after long road trip.

Congrats to those that had good nights!

chenker,

Good night, keep it up!
Frogy had the NYI figured tonight. NYI is hurting with two D out of the line-up. Mont. on the other hand came back with a solid effort after a 7 game roadie.
Looks like we have our first idiot in the hockey forum, check my out of conference post. Don't think he will last long.

Any early leans for tomorrow?
