Have not posted my plays this year, but I am going to take a shot at the tourney.
Here is what I have for Thursday:
4 units: W Virg (-1 1/2) over Clemson. IMO, WV played a much harder schedule, even with Clemson playing in the ACC. Very few good wins for Clemson (I see only VT, FSU, and, if you want to count Wofford, and all at home), while the Mountaineers have beaten Louisville, UConn, ND, Cinc, Purdue, Gtown, and Vandy, and lost to more tough teams than Clemson did. I think this more difficult schedule will pay off for them in this matchup.
4 units: Wisconsin (-5) over Belmont. Belmont played only two decent teams, Vandy and Tennessee twice and lost all three. Their other loss was to Lipscomb(?? although Belmont beat them by 36 the other time they played). Otherwise, they have played no team even remotely in the caliber of the Badgers. The bad loss to Penn St by Wisconsin (33-36) is making this game seem like it will be closer than it should be. Wisconsin is actually very good and their scoring per possession is actually very high in the national ratings. There defense is excellent and they do not turn the ball over. This will wear on Belmont and unless they are throwing it in from well beyond the arc, I think Wisconsin wins handily, something like 65-45.
3 units: Cincinnati (-1) over Missouri. Really tempted to go more on this one, but... Cincy has played a tough schedule and had some really solid wins, including road wins at St. Johns, Gtown, Marquette, Providence and Oklahoma. The also beat Gtown a second time, Louisville and Xavier. Missouri's best wins have been at home against Vandy, Illinois, OD, and K St. On the road, they were 3-7, beating LaSalle and Oregon early in the season and Iowa St. All there road losses have been by double digits except the loss at Oklahoma St. by only 6.
2 units: BYU (-8 1/2) over Wofford
2 units: Pittsburgh (-18) over NC-Asheville
Good luck, everyone.
