dammit, what a shitfest. and i'm mad at myself for betting it, because now i may watch some of it.

SF (ML) 2 units to win 2.1. i was not going to play this game, but the qb change impels me to try to take advantage of the line swing. teams usually step up when a backup makes his first start. and is bobby beathard* to nick mullens really worth 4 points? oh, and has anyone noticed? the raiders really suck. they shouldn't be favored on the road against anyone. ok, i wouldn't be surprised if there are more raiders fans than niners fans in attendance tonight. which brings me to my last point... tens of thousands of people paid good money to watch this game in person. let that sink in for a minute.

hahahaha i'm going to try so hard to not watch a single snap. but there's no way around it... i got money on it, i'm gonna take a peek. :facepalm: but i think i have a good chance at keeping my exposure at less than 5 minutes.

"wtf is a breeders cup?" clearly you do not wager on the sport of kings. most of the best horses in the world are at churchill downs this weekend for the greatest 2 days in horse racing. there's a fair chance that i'll be wagering a couple dimes over the next two days. or about equal to one saturday during football season.

every horse player at work i know, myself included, is taking tomorrow off.

Any tips?? Only time I won on horses was on deep bramble in maybe 93. Ireland.. girlfriends relatives owned him, won by a snot at 10/1...many pints flowed...good times!

Smitty I Don?t follow with the horses at all. But a buddy of mine who does gave me a horse called pocket dynamo I think in the fifth race if that makes any sense on Friday. :0008

i've barely started handicapping. i'll i've got so far...

newspaperofrecord would need some really bad luck to lose the juvenile fillies turf (race 6 tomorrow). she's 2-1 on the ML and i'd expect her to go off at closer to even money. but something's going to have to go very wrong for her to lose.

in the race before, i like soldier's call and bulletin (the soft turf is a big question mark for this one, but i'll take a shot at 10-1) on top of the 4, 7, and 8. and maybe the 10 just a little. soldier's call is a definite key, especially at anything close to 9-2.

well, the sentence makes sense. but i'm not so sure about the horse. i'd be curious to know what your buddy likes about that horse. his figures are pretty even with most of the horses in the race, he got a terrible draw, and is not adding lasix. even if he runs back to his best (his race in june at ascot) and gets a perfect trip, i wouldn't expect him to win and probably not to even hit the board. but, hey, i've been wrong about a race once or twice in my life, and that horse is 20-1. if your buddy likes him, he should take a shot.

i would love to see the numbers on this, but i'm pretty sure betting on backup qbs making their first start is money in the bank over the years.

i'm assuming beathard will be starting again next week, but if they get crazy and go with mullens, i'd jump all over the opportunity to bet against him.

I met him in minor-league baseball his families owned a horsery for 50 years with thousands of horses and the has connections with all kinds a horse owners that?s just some information he passed on to me. Idk. But will find out buddy.
