Going with
NY Islanders Under 2 1/2 Goals
Quick Notes: I know 9 of last 10 games with St. Louis have gone Over the total. Johnson has been playing very well for the Blues lately. He has a 92.2 save %.
In last 5 games Blues are giving up 1.4 goals each
In last 5 games Islanders are averaging 3.2 goals each
In last 5 games Islanders have had 32 shots on goal per game
In last 5 games Blues have allowed 22 shots on goal per game
Closer look @ the last 5 games that Islanders have played
0 goals against Devils <-- another good defensive team
3 goals against Caps <-- the goal with 4 mins left in third killed my play also
7 goals against Atlanta
0 goals against Philly <-- another good defensive team
6 goals against Pittsburg
So againts good defensive teams they have combined for 0 goals
Against horrible teams 13 goals .. and a team in betn 3 goals.
Islanders average 2.7 goals on the road.
Will take my chances with this one.
Islanders Injuries may also help the Under. Parrish is Qs. So is Ibister. Biggest factor is Adrian Aucoin . . he averages the most ice time on the team .. and may not be available today.
Blues have allowed 2 or less goals in each of their last 7 games. I saw their game against the Ducks and they did not allow a lot of shots on goal which is good to see.
Expected Final Score : Blues 4 Islanders 1
San Jose Sharks Under 3 Goals
This line shud be @ 2 1/2 unless the books know something which I dont which is possible.
I was thinking about taking the Under 5 Goals but Nabakov did not play last 2 games due to flue or so .. and may be rusty. Sabres have found their offence again and have been playing extremely well on the defensive end.
I expect Biron to play today. In 2 games against Sharks Biron has allowed 1 and 2 goals respectively. Also Biron now has to fight with Miller for playing time so expect to see a very good effort from him tonight if he plays. The new kid Miller has also been very solid in the net
Two teams heading in opposite directions here.
In last 5 games Sharks are averaging 2.4 goals
In last 5 games Sabres are allowing 1.6 goals
In last 5 games Shars are at around 17 % on the PP
In last 5 games Sabres are killing the penalty at almost 92%
In last 5 games Sharks are averaging 30.6 shots
In last 5 games Sabres are allowing 25 shots on goal.
Sharks have had 2 days rest as compared to one day for Sabres. But that shud be ok.
The Sabres have held opponents to 3 or less goals in their last 8 games .. hope it continues.
If Nolan is not playing for the Sharks that is even better for the Under.
Sabres wanna go 3-0 on the road trip and have NOT WON HERE in San Jose since 1991. This will be an added incentive. Also with the bankruptcy proceedings more effort from the players to play good.
Expected Final Score : Sabres 2 Sharks 0
Good luck
Cheers !!!
