I have not seen this posted today so I thought I would go ahead and list them. My question to the cappers in here is do you use these referee ATS and O/U numbers in your capping, and if so to what extent? Thanks in advance to any that reply.

ATS RECORD IS LISTED 1ST THEN OVER/UNDER RECORD

MCGEOUGH 30-15 17-28
SHICK 24-18 16-26

CAR/BOS
KOHARSKI 32-21 24-19

SJ/WAS
MARTELL 26-15 23-22
WALKOM 24-22 23-23

STL/CALG
LEGGO 21-24 22-22
MASSENHOVEN 21-21

NAS/EDM
AUGER 32-16 17-27

ANGUS 25-18 22-23

crazy horse, i try to post refs usually so maybe i can tell you why i look at particular refs and how it may help. i will never make a play based on refs alone but if i like a play and the ref numbers support it, well, that helps. it is getting harder though to use the info as ref tendencies change several times over the year. that is, to me it seems like we go through diiferent periods of time where certain penalties are called and then a week later, some nhl directive comes down and you dont see it called for a week or so. i see this with obstruction/hooking calls. so what does this mean? very good ?, again let me stress by no means do i consider myself a veteran capper. i would recommend you use this info to help make stronger plays or it could help you make a no-play--i could probably go on and on but will spare you, thanks for posting, got up a little late today, one too many libations last night i suppose...

good luck with your plays,

Well it's a little late, but I thought I would add my thoughts briefly here.

Wigs really said it best in the sense that refs should never be the only reason for betting on a side or total. Personally, I try not to think much about the refs when I am looking at games because I have a tendency to let those ref numbers get in the back of my mind sometimes. This can conceivably cause a bias towards whatever the refs numbers would indicate.

For example, two refs who generally work games with high numbers of goals (e.g. Koharski and Kowal in tonight's Car/Bos game) might cause me to try and create reasons to play that over, whether I actually realize it or not. This is why I generally don't like to look at any referee info until I have already given that day's card at least a once over. GL.

if you wanna see a ref butcher a game than you should see the bos/car game. kowal has missed a few calls and then boston took matters into their own hands while trailing..killed the total, carolina has had maybe three different five-on-three power plays in the third--samsonov and thornton both tossed and b's coach penalized as well--this has gotten ugly--
