Tiger Woods is SICK!!!! (In a good way)

I know there are plenty of Tiger haters out there. But his golf accomplishments continue to amaze in my opinion. Even those that hate him due to his dominance, realize that we are witnessing the greatest of all-time ply his trade.

Battling with a bout of food poisoning, in a strong downpour most of the round, and he shoots a bogey-free 68 on Sunday to win by 11. Are you kidding me?

The way he is going right now, the Grand Slam may be worth a wager. I heard that the U.S Open venue may make the tournament more competitive as it is not very long and places a premium on accuracy. But for all the talk that Tiger drives it a tonne, he seems to have placed more importance on course management and distance control. So even that argument seems to be mute. Push comes to shove, if his putting remains solid as it has been this season, Grand Slam is a definite possibility in my mind.

Opinions, thoughts?

Works out at about +236 accumulated for each tournament which isn't great value IMO other than for a fun bet. You should be able to get at least 9/4 for the Masters and that is the best major for Tiger. He should be about 3/1 for the U.S. Open (tighter course) and British Open (weather) which should present him with the most trouble. He has a great chance to complete the Grand Slaim given the opposition at the moment, but for a serious bet I would lay the sum on the Masters alone and then carry the winnings onto the U.S. Open with a small hedge bet and so on.

Good luck, though I'm sure we'll all be looking for value in other players during the Majors weeks

Hey Stanley, I don't bet alot of golf but enjoy your post and obvious capping ablility. Never really though of parlaying winning's vs. making a wager to win grand slam. I like it
