NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS +1 - With all due respect to a very fine Tennessee team, I just can not resist backing New England as a small home underdog. The Patriots are 14-5 S/U at home since the start of the 2001 season, winning by an average of 4.1 points per home game. They have been a home dog 8 times during this span, and the Pats are 7-1 ATS and 6-2 S/U on those occasions! In fact, they are now 15-8, 65.2% the last 23 times that they have been underdogs, regardless of the venue. They are also seeking revenge for a 24-7 loss at Tennessee last season. This may be a letdown spot for the Titans, who are coming off of a key road win over their biggest division rival in Pittsburgh. Interestingly, Tennessee is just 4-6, 40.0% ATS in their last 10 non-division road games, going back to the 2001 season.
