I like the Massachusetts stance on gay issues from an insurance actuarial stand point.If we could get just a few states to absorb this population the other states could lower health insurance premiums by about 3%---
Our great governor Martha Lane Collins liked Hilliarys plan back in the 90's so well she thought she would be "an innovative leader" and make KY the 1st state to have unlinited benefits of aids with only a 6 month pre existing condition clause and only had to be ky resident for 6 months.
We had influx of people moving here that had exhausted benefits in their prior state of residency.
Classic case of adverse selection pool.
Within 6 months every health insurer pull out of state except 2.
Wasn't long legislature saw the light and repealed/modified it.

As soon as the system figures out a way to make bucks from same sex marriages, same sex anything and the proliferation of unions and rights groups ala the handicapped = gay pride etc. the government will step in and make it fashionable and legal. Some of your best friends will be yada yada
