Rainman, thanks for sharing your pitching report site...went there and was blasted with "pop-up" infomercials.
May I share with all members what I believe to be a better pitching report site without all the distractions?
Go to
http://www.nss.net/MLB/ then click on "Pitcher Report Cards" on left side of page, then on the right side of page click on the date "Fast Facts." Site also lists MBA which is the Average number of men to reach base against the pitcher per nine innings (excluding errors), which is the same thing as your sites AWH.
I look at three things from this page...all over the pitchers last three appearances (right side blue numbers).
First: pitcher must have a 3 or lower MBA number then his opponent.
Second: pitcher must have a better win/lose record then his opponent.
Third: pitcher must have better ERA than his opponent.
If all three of the criteria above exsists for a particular pitcher I consider him as a play.
Just thought I'd take the time to share with you all what information I use and how I use it in determining a play. Hoping this helps others.
Best to all...
