From hero to scapegoat

Tommy became the scapegoat after Swedens loss to the mighty Belarus.

He has been critisised hard in the media and now it has hit his relatives in Sweden.

His sisters kids 9 and 13 have been abused at school according to Tommys father Einari Salo(Parents are finnish immegrants to Sweden).

They have been told Tommy is very stupid and a lousy goalie

Other relatives have also been harrased in town by peoples dissapiontment.

Einari says - can?t people understand that there where 22 other players on the team it was not Tommys fault.

Tommy is going thru a very difficult time now and is very sad about what is happening to his family.

Tommy himself says i only talk about NHL now. nothing else

Even Johan Hedberg say we can take critisim but leave our relatives alone

Einari Salo - Its going to take Tommy long time to get over this defeat.

Another long shoot goes past Tommy

Tommy seems to have brought his bad luck with him from the Olympics another long shoot similar to the belarus shoot whent in yesterday when Nashvilles Vitalij Jatjmenev made it 2-2 and then Oilers lost when Erat made it 3-2 2 min from the end.

The irony was that the winning goal was score on a long shot not unlike the nightmare goal against Belarus.

The Nashville players even said that they were purposefully going to try long shots on him all game just to mess with him. A very interesting story.
