Detroit loses Rashard Phillips, but returns just about everyone else. JR SG Willie Green and JR F Terrel Riggs will soften the loss of Phillips. Phillips, however, is not easily replaceable, his 22.6 ppg was 6th in country L/YR. MSU howevers loses 4 starters from L/YR. Marcus Taylor will run the point and do it very well. Adam Ballinger and Aloysuis Anagonye will return and help stabalize the frontcourt. After those 3 and newcomer Tolbert a highly touted freshman who will start at the 2 guard, depth becomes an issue. I believe MSU should win this game but not run away with it. Detroit has won the last 3 meetings, and has the more experienced squad. MSU might be ranked a little to high and will be tested early going against a solid team.

Line is down from an open of 16. Syacuse wil be without projected starting PG FR Billy Edelin who is suspended indefinitely for violating a code of conduct as a result of sexual assault allegations. Preston Shumpert returns for Cuse and is one of the top players in the country and the best in conference. SG Deshaun Williams will play in the NIT but will serve a suspension afterwards due to a DUI. Manhattan had 2 solid returners in Muggsy Green and David Holmes return and help make Manhattan a solid MAAC team.
Syracuse has its fair share of distractions lately and should be a better team come tourney time. Manhattan like to speed up the tempo of the game and should hang around. Preston Shumpert however should show why he is the best player in the Big East. Due to offseason distractions and Manhattan's tempo warrant a play on Manhattan.

Wake shoud be a bet on team this year. Skip Prosser comes in as new coach and despite the loss of guard OKelly does return Songalia and SR G Craig Dawson who score 43 points including 11-16 of from 3 point land in an intrasquad game. I do believe that Wake is the 4th best team in the ACC. NC Wilmington is the best team in the CAA, and a tourney team. Brett Blizzard returns for Wilmington and is the best player in the CAA. This should be an interesting game and is a good game to watch and see how each team plays.

Too many questions to warrant play. Fordham strength is frontcourt with Freeman-Mckarmey and Johnson. The backcourt is the question. Depaul lost Hunter and Simmons but returns almost everyone else. Marlon London as a transfer from Kansas and should be a solid 2 guard.
