Admittedly I am a Cowboy fan. I feel like I've had a real good read on the boys the last few years. But after losing Dez and Romo, I've been cautious but still liked them because of their run game (which has been bad) and their def (ditto). That said I really wanted to lay the hammer on the Pats this week. Bilichek and Brady off of a bye, against Weeden, against a depleted defense, blah blah blah. I just can't do it with over 90% on New England.

So without any idea how, other than Vegas knows best... I'm taking the boys. Who's with me? Is it just me, my goldfish, and Renee Zelweger?

Anyone have any idea how they keep it close?

courtesy TD...they are catching 9....down 14 ...prevent D...happens quite often..

a little problem with that though...Hoodie hardly ever takes his foot off the gas..

that means Boys have to play some D against a passing O ...they ain't got a clue in that department.

so now Boys have to kill the clock..rushing O...not so good..

next option..Weeden passing...1 passing TD in 8 quarters as a starter..

there are better options this week....

There are other options that I like a lot. But I've read this book, and know how it ends. There are no freebies in Vegas.

Just something to consider, and has me nervous here (as I took Pats minus, large)...

Cowboys closed offensive practices off to the media all week. I have a feeling they're going to run a lot of four, five wide sets with Escobar in the slot (talented receiving TE who Cowboys under use, and who owner has been advocating his use through the media a lot lately). Weeden, for as bad as he is, was successful in this kind of offense in college and I think he'd do well in a quick throw offense instead of the traditional long developing play offense us Cowboys fans are used to.

might work..still gotta stop Hoodie from throwing on first down up 17 in the middle of the 4th quarter..

nothing would be better than Hoodie to get beat on the National stage in his first visit to AT&T Stadium after 10 days of preparing for the game..just covering the 9 is still a pretty big order against a healthy team when they themselves are without their money makers..

if one thinks the Boys can keep in within 8 then a 7 point tease at Boys +16 and "Over" 42' must be a mortal lock...cuzzz..NE is bringing points to the biggest living room on planet earth...

Boys have a hell of a TV don't they.

Good Luck..."How bout them Cowboys"....

I'm definitely considering a 7 point tease, NE - 2.5 and Over 42. Seems like a solid bet.

Also would be interested in the halftime line. Dallas has been known to basically make zero halftime adjustments - I don't think Jason Garrett knows what that means. A NE - 4 to 7 or so would be hard to pass up.
