Well it went down about as expected. No way would I have given up the 1st in 05 in the package if I were the NYG. SD gets a hell of a deal. They most likely will have 2 picks in the top 10 to 12 picks in 2005. I agree the Manning is the top QB out there, but he better. Glad to know that Dallas and NYG are in the same division. Ha !!!!!!!!

obviously, the giants feel that they will have a pretty good team next year & at least make the playoffs. but i don't like the trade either from a giants perspective. ny had the upper hand, but imo caved in.

sd would never had gone into the season with an unhappy player who is supposed to lead them out of last place.

the giants must take an offensive lineman with the next pick.

Considering the situation the Chargers are in (having a player that does not want to play for them) I think the Giants had the leverage, but still gave up quite a bit.

Speaking of teams that gave up too much, how about the Browns giving up a 2nd round pick to move up one spot? Especially since the 2nd round is supposed to be so draft.

Keep in mind that since Manning will be the starting QB next year that the 1st round pick the Giants gave up will likely be fairly high.
