List fails because Joe Morgan is mentioned... even though just as a runner-up... ditto for Tim McCarver.

Billy Packer isn't on there; I totally agree.

Bill Raftery isn't on there and he should be. He's terrific! "SEND IT IN, JEROME!!!!!" should put him in the HOF alone!

One announcer who I heard several times this college football season is Gary Danielson. He did the color on the SEC game every Saturday, and he's one of the best I've ever heard. Terrific analysis, knows the penalty before the ref tells you what it is, outstanding knowledge of the intricacies of the game.

The best analyst I've ever heard is Steve Stone.

Agree. And as great as Stoney is he had to work all those years with the drunk idiot that was Harry Caray. Caray has to be the worst play by play man ever. Will be cool to listen to him call a game again now that he is the White Sox color man on the TV broadcasts. Should be fun with him and Hawk Harrelson. Will he join in on the YES! at the end of Hawk's home run calls? Doesn't seem very 'Stoney'-like--but we will find out soon enough...:00hour

No Chic Hearn (sic?). And, not that he was great, but surprised Dizzy Dean hasn't been mentioned, he's very noteable, at least.

I can do without Harry Carey, drunk or sober. The worst, IMO. & Phil Rizzuto, nothing but a stooge.

Agree with Vin Scully, the absolute best, so good, he's his own analyst.

Joe Morgan, please. Drop him 40 more notches
