Two warriors lined up against each other today. Buerhle in 20 starts is 12-7. He always seems to hang around one way or another for a decision. The reason is he sticks around and battles. He has gone on average 7 innings a game for those 20 starts. With a 3.65 ERA and a WHIP of 1.25 he is more than capable of holding the Royals in check especially considering they only hit .231 against southpaws. In the circle for his opponent, Byrd is the man for the Royals. I originally dug into this game with a lean on the red hot Royals only to come out I like the UNDER play better. In any case Byrd can get major league hitters out. He's 12-6 with a 3.70 ERA, in his last 3 his ERA shrinks all the way down to 1.99 - his last start was a complete game 3 hit shut out of the Angels. If these guys can stay in the game like they usually do and not turn it over to the middle guys this one has a good shot.
