Go Habs Go!!
I agree with you Aces. I've seen Brendl play against the Habs this year and was impressed about how well he can dominate on a rush. Kapanen was at a time a decent player but is certainly not anymore. Is it me or I don't see him fit in their lineup?

Pavel Brendl

Height 6-0

Shoots Right
Born March 23, 1981, Opocno, CZE

As he tore his way through the WHL in 1998-99, it became apparent that Brendl was destined to be a top-five pick in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. The New York Rangers turned that destiny into reality, selecting Brendl with the fourth overall choice at the 1999 Entry Draft. The high selection surprised no one, considering Brendl racked up 134 points and a plus-68 rating on his way to being named the WHL's Rookie of the Year. The following year Brendl brought his scoring touch back to his native Czech Republic, where he helped his nation capture the gold medal at the World Junior Championships. Brendl was named Top Forward and posted a tournament-high 10 points. His NHL debut came in 2001-02 with the Philadelphia Flyers after coming over in a deal that sent Eric Lindros to the Rangers.

After debuting with the Flyers on Oct. 31 in a 3-0 win against Pittsburgh, St. Jacques made six more appearances with the club. The blueliner finished his rookie campaign with a plus-4 rating. Before joining Philadelphia, St. Jacques spent three years with Baie-Comeau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Hartford Whalers drafted Kapanen in the fourth round (87th overall) of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. Before that, the speedy winger spent five years in the Finnish Elite League, notching 146 points (57 goals, 89 assists) in 190 games from 1990-95. Kapanen was also a regular on the Finnish National Team, and he won bronze medals at the 1994 and 1998 Olympic Games. Kapanen made his first NHL appearance Dec. 13, 1995 and scored his first goal Jan. 6, 1996, against the Boston Bruins' Craig Billington. With the Carolina Hurricanes -- who moved from Hartford in 1997 -- Kapanen routinely posted 20-plus goals and appeared in more than 75 games each season.
