The dip in audio, and what looks to be a visual cut is just that. They run a television automation system called ParkerVision. It's like Prophet or SS, but for TV. The reason the boo-boo was in the TV and then taken full to air, is becuase with the automation system, error correction isn't as simple as pressing one button. It takes a few second, or more than a few in this case, to get out of your show set and fix the problem.
