I will be playing BIRDSTONE..at SuperBowl time when i was out in Las Vegasand had planned on betting 100 Bucks on Birdstone. I had seen Birdstone at 12-1 Futures for The Kentucky Derby. I didn't wager on it..... too small odds for me with so much time left to Derby Time----Good thing I didn't because Birdstone came up ill in the weeks before the Derby which accounts for his poor showing in the Lanes End G-2. He still wasn't up to snuff for The Derby....
However, after The Derby, Nick Zito tucked Birstone away in early May up in Saratoga to train and recuperate.
These horses are all getting anywheres from 3 to 11 pounds extra from their last race. Except Birdstone who comes in at the same weight as The Belmont Stakes, 126 lbs...all carry 126 lbs.
All are jumping up a notch in Grade with the exception of Lion Heart and Birdstone. Noone in this field has won toting 126 lbs except Birdstone.
EDDINGTON looks a little dangerous but he picks up 11 lbs from his August 8th Grade -2 Jim Dandy in which he was bumped but he also "LUGGED IN ".
Sir Shackleton get + 9 lbs today and has never won past a mile and never ran more than 1 1/8 miles.
The Cliff's Edge picks up 3 lbs and comes from way off the pace and comes up short more often than not. Saratoga has sharp turns.
SUAVE looks interesting and will bring a nice price. He bobbled in his last start finishing 2nd...3 3/4 lenghths behind ROCK HARD TEN. He is also out of A.P INDY who won The 1992 Belmont and The Breeders Cup Classic. WOWWWWW
That leaves us with Lion Heart and Purge. These two babies can run and are dangerous to me.
I won a couple of hundred on BIRDSTONE in The Belmont..so today i'll keep it small..don't wanna give it back.. These are good horses.
