Pittsburgh, Pa.
every time a qb is sacked or hurried or just does something stupid, commentators never fail to say, "he was under tremendous pressure".

couldn't possibly be a little pressure / some pressure / a modicum of pressure....NO! Any and every situation ...even a running back who just ran a kickoff 100 + for a td calls for, "he avoided tremendous pressure by running blah, blah, blah."

my favorites are the esoteric "best ___ in the country" observations

for example, mario manningham is apparently the best 'double move' receiver in the country. who knew?

hyperbole is a prequisite for stepping in the tv booth.
