Want to get pissed off? Listen to this episode. The part at the end about states hiring people to find Welfare recipients that are qualified for federal disability pay is one reason I don't like State's Rights much.

While I like that our country has Welfare and Disability to protect the sick and lame, I don't care for the part where it is taken advantage of. Not at all advocating they be shut down, but shit, once you're on disability there is no reason to get off of it.....and the part about getting a kid the "pulls a check" is unreal.

We should help people who are truly disabled. Problem is, there are millions upon millions who have no problems cheating and stealing. Clinton tried to end welfare primarily for that reason, so what did those folks do - they just moved over to disability.

To qualify for disability when you aren't requires three things:

1. A person who has no problem with lying and stealing.

2. A physician who has no problem with lying.

3. Local bureaucrats who don't care because it's not their money.

4. Federal bureaucrats who don't care because they're stupid or lazy.


Eliminate any one of the four and solve the problem.

#2 would be easiest. Let a few physicians lose their license and be prosecuted for fraud, put it on the front page, and the rest will get the message.

I have a friend who is a rumetologist, so he sees lots of folks who have minor to major disabilities. Many of his patients try to get him to certify them as disabled, but he's a hard ass about that. He was recently telling me about a woman who has been after him for months, claiming that she can barely even walk. The last time, he told her this:

"Of course you can't walk very well. You're 5'2" and weigh 200 pounds. If I weighed twice what I do, I'd have trouble walking too. Stop stuffing triple cheeseburgers in your face, come back when you're 60 pounds lighter, and I'll evaluate you again. In the meantime, get lost."

He doesn't think being a hog qualifies you for disability.:0074

I know a guy who gets the monthly check cause he has "flat feet." Fucking guy plays darts and pool every night of the week and drinks pitchers of beer. Guy pisses me off, yet I know many others deserving but he's one ass. He should have to report to a couch and stare at a white wall for 40 hours then get a check
