Well, he has the ability to force the manufacture and sale of whatever the country needs in a national emergency. He has been asked repeatedly why he won't enact it. He says the companies are making it, so he doesn't have to step in.

Currently, the product goes to the highest bidder. That has even been other countries!! All the President has to do is put his pen to paper to get all of the needed products sent to the Federal government for a fair price. No price gouging. He refuses to do this.

Now, you tell me why that would be?
