When Philly goes to NJ they are short handed on the offensive side of the ball.

Two game ago these two met in Philly with NJ winning 88-80.

No Martin in that game.

Brown knows he can't run with this Nets team.

His best shot at some kinda upset is on the defensive side.....shut'n NJ down and shortening the game with long possessions.

If Kid and the Nets aren't bombing & hitting three's like they did last time against this 6er team......I think we can see the Nets under the team total of 92'!!

Play'n the Nets under 92' Team Total

Last Wednesday...1-1

126-80-2...YTD ez

0-2 on this morning's game..........

0-2 on this morning's game..........

NJ u 92' "L"
&
Philly/NJ u89' 2H "L"

Too many 3's by both teams during 2H! :(

--------------------------------------------------

Ready to turn things around.........AND.........I will play:

Sea/Pot over 187'

Reasoning:

-Yes, both teams have significant injuries:

*Wallace is doubtful for Port

*Lewis and Radmanovic are out for Sea

-However, both teams have averaged 98 and 97 pts/gm this season

-This should be an intense game as only 2' games separate the teams for 5th in their divison.

-Yes, Pippen looked VERY "shaky" last night against the LAL.

-And Wells and Stoudamire need to step their games up after last night's 91-79 loss.

-Getting back home in the Rose Garden should help Portalnd back into an offensive "comfort zone" for hitting the bottom of the bucket!

-In the first game without Wallace...against SAN...the Trail Blazers managed 98 points in the win. Then, they laid an egg 2H last night when the LAL stepped up the d.

-Sea is playing "winning" bball right now (winning the last 3)

79-76 SAN
96-82 Memp
106-92 Utah

Again, I see a brisk paced game as both teams chase one another up and down the floor trading FG's and leads.

Therefore....Sea/Port over 187'......GL folks! ez

Just might have found another one for tonight..............

Just might have found another one for tonight..............

Did a little research and found something VERY interesting:

In the Memphis Grizzlies last 26 games.....in ONLY 4 of them.....did the Grizz score more than 20 points in all 4 quarters!!!!

I stopped looking at the 26 game mark but I bet the trend is season long.

Here's the breakdown on the last 26 games by quarters.....which didn't make it over 20:

18 17 Sea
17 20 Port
--Dal <---all 4 periods went over 20
18 19 Minn
17 NY
17 17 NJ
--Bost <---all went over 20
17 SAN
18 18 18 Utah
16 Mia
15 Indy
18 15 Atl
12 19 Sea
11 Den
15 18 17 Utah
--Dal <---all went over 20
12 17 15 LAC
18 6 Pho
16 16 SAN
14 Char
19 15 Den
15 17 Hou
--Mil <----all went over 20
19 14 Utah
18 14 Char
and the beat goes on!!

In the 3 previous GS/Memp games this season:

Nov 12 a pair of under 20 periods....17 & 19

Dec 15 a pair of under 20 periods....16 & 19

Jan 23 a pair of under 21 periods....19 & 20

_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Point being......there's a pretty consistant track record of this Grizz team producing a "dud" period or two......game in and game out!!

Now....apply this trend to tonight's game where the linesmen are ask'n the Grizz to hit 105 as a team. WoW....I think ya know where I'm headed here.

Yes, GS is a poor defensive team but the Grizz are a poor, inconsistant offensive team capable of some real dry spells.

Just one "bad" quarter by the Grizz tonight and I think we'll garner another ez winnah!

Play'n Memphis Grizz team under 105 tonight against GS
