i don't understand why he would go to arkansas because i thought that auburn was a more prestigious program...am i wrong ?

ar, i think it's a step down as well. tubs is from arkansas. he's the lone ranger and will own that state till he retires. he hasnt been happy with the "powers" at auburn for 4 years. no more competing with saban or georgia for talent.
kramer, broyles was too drunk to do anything before he left...
Aub is a better program imo, but Arky does not have to share recruits with anyone in state. Similar to LSU in that regard. Plus, Tubbs was treated like crap by Aub not too long ago when boosters were wooing Petrino despite Tubbs excellent record at Aub. I have heard Tubbs to LSU rumors, but I would seriously consider selling my season tix if he does.
Del Rio was an all american player at USC, an NFL all-rookie teamer with the Saints, a Pro Bowler with the Vikings, a LB coach for the world champion Ravens when their D was awsome, a DC at Carolina when their D was awsome, a HC at Jax with a winning record and and excellent D. the guy is a winner, plain and simple.
Plus, he was my favorite player while he was on the Saints. I was 11 at the time and thought he could walk on water.
Meanwhile Tubbs is looking at his 3rd HC job in the SEC west. He is slimy imo, although he is definitely a good HC.

i know del rio's resume pretty well..but imo there is a big difference between coaching in college & in the nfl...i think he is a very good nfl coach while it remains to be seen how he will do in college..
i just think a well established program like lsu shouldn't be breaking in a new college coach.
usc's program was down when carroll was hired, so the school had nothing to lose...

WOW... just got home and heard the same thing... one of my friends just relayed me the message... I sure hope so tubbs is out of here. hope he takes big borges w/ him... I want an offense here at auburn...
