The Bulls will stay inside this number at Miami this evening. Expect Scott Skiles' club, which has been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs (4-2 last year) in each of the past two seasons by Miami, to be extra motivated after watching the Heat players receive their championship rings tonight. Skiles views tonight's opener as a privileged opportunity considering this is the same Miami team that eliminated his club last year. The Bulls, who went 6-2-1 ATS in nine meetings with the Heat last season, played well on the road last year and went 7-1-1 ATS in its final nine highway affairs.

In the past, Shaq hasn't played a lot of minutes early in the season as the team understands it doesn't need the big fella to be worn down come April, May and June. This was already an old team last year and tonight tyhey won't have Jason Williams (knee) running things at the point. The Bulls have brought in big Ben Wallace to help with defense, and this was already a Chicago team that led the NBA in opponents field goal percentage (42.6) last year. They also brought in foward P.J. Brown and swingman Adrian Griffin, plus, the team is expecting big things from rookie Tyrus Thomas. Guys like Hinrich, Gordon. Deng and Nicioni have been waiting for this one ever since the NBA's schedule was first announced this past summer. Dwyane Wade will get his, but Chicago, which shot nearly 40 percent from beyond the arc last year against the Heat, will be in this one all night long and stay inside this spread.
