Kansas City area for who knows how long....
NYI at Washington. Anyone looking for an over to bet? WA has allowed more goals per game than anyone but pathetic AT. Two key defense men have been out a while, now Witt "doubtful" and Dahler "unlikely" tonight. The two games this season they didn't play, WA lost 5-11, then 0-5. Kolzig is "expected" to play, sez WA Post. His stats so bad now he doesn't look at them.
NYI have given up 4 straight goals in 3 consecutive games--nearly squandered a 5-1 lead against Montreal last outing. And we learned yesterday important defense team of Martinek and Hamrlik out. Gotta trade quick for some replacements papers say. Won't be in time against WA team scoring more lately, even Jagr has joined in the fun.
The two meetings in 2001 have gone over.
WA is 17-0-3 vs NYI last 20!! But Osgood is 5-2-2, 3.24 gga, .875 pct. At canbet now, over 5.5 -115. gonna get worse!

Colorado at Nashville. Now here's an under. Nashville lost bad in last outing, 2-7 at STL. Now at home and Dunham in net, watch for bounce-back. 6-2 after loss with Vokoun in net, 2-0-1 after loss of 3 or more goals (beat Chi and Dallas, tied STL).
Dunham terrific at home. Roy in net for Colorado, he had one of worst outings in his last. Under hits 6-0-1 after he has bad outing (loss with pct less than .870), in his next game--two of those shutouts. Colorado had some important injuries in that loss saturday still present, but he took only 23 shot on goal. So a serious bounce-back instore. And Colorado knows defense is the key, they were forced to offensive mode in last game and it sure didn't work. Colorado 10-11-2 away, Nash is 10-6-4 at home.

Covers sez on STL at NJ:

under 3-1 last four meetings
under 12-5 in STL road games
under 3-1 in Blues last four
under 3-2 in Devils last four
under 11-5 in NJ home game

I add that under is 5-0-1 when Johnson is in net following a personal loss. His last two losses followed by shutouts.

Blues have 3 shutouts in last seven games, in five of those constests fewer than 20 shots on goal were allowed.

STL had allowed 86 goals this season, fewest in Western Conf.

Both these teams win when playing defense, NJ just learned that lesson well in Vancouver defeat.

W/L: Blues on two game win streak, at home of course. 2-8-3 on road since Nov 1. They have followed a home win with road win just once this season in five chances sez newspaper. They have put together win streak over two just twice in first 38 games.
