As I said the other day I looked for them to narrow the strike zone again (which they did) and we would have a hitter friendly series (which we have had) and go back to playing the overs. Even tho game one went under, game two was a great example of what can happen when the pitchers have to throw the ball over the plate. A lot of runs and a lot of exciting baseball. How could you not like that second game (unless you were betting SF or the under or both)? The people who only watch bb during the WS will be glued to their TVs tonight Now for the next 3 games I'm looking for them to give the outside of the plate again and give the pitchers a chance to show their stuff. This will help Ortiz but won't hurt Hernandez. Here's the problem. Unless Ortiz is pitching one hell of a game he will be gone by 6. He is an automatic out and you might only see him bat once. Hernandez on the other hand hits over 250 and has power so could go 7 or 8 if things are going well. I think Webber is the weak link and if the starter only goes 5 we will see him.

I said the other day that SF has the edge in power hitting and Ana has the edge in over-all team hitting. I'll stick with that. Ana for the year had 200 more at bats but, SF had 40 more home runs and 160 more walks. of course, Bonds accounted for a lot of those walks. I think the narrow strike zone helps Ana more than SF and the wider zone favors SF. In a tight low scoring game a home run at the right time can be the game. In the first two rounds the zone stayed the same for the entire series (narrow in the first, wider in the second). That's the reason I think they will change the zone when they switch parks. This way neither team can feel that the strike zone favored either of them and I''m sure they will be instrucked before the game as to where the strike zone will be.

With all this said, I'm goning to par SF and under for 1 unit and hope I'm right about the strike zone. I think the under totally depends on which way they call it. The reason I'm only going with the par is because, I'm damn if I'll give back any more than I have to just because I want the action.

Good luck everyone

Thanks for the heads up. The good thing about words is that your can make them justify anything you want to do. Still don't change my thinking on the play.

sdf, you are absolutly correct. I didn't play the game and somewhere got it in my head that the score was 5-4. It still doesn't change my mind about tonight. I'll edit that mis-information out.
