17-5 last 8. Once in a while there is a game I have to play even if it loses. Colo fits that bill today. I have a lot to pick from but wanted to post this one early.

Colo - 105

Others that I am considering are NYY and over, Det +200 (I would be very leary of Tor today) CWS, KC (this is looking very interesting), Oak, Ana -200 (too much juice but might be good par foder), Atl (another very interesting one), Phil, and Stl and under (sometimes MLB lists the wrong ump which was the case last night. If you remember, I called for Stl and u believing Nueart was going behind the plate. He didn't and the under hit but Stl didn't. You don't have to be real smart to realize this ump goes for home teams and unders. Home favs and under is even better. This is too easy and could be the set-up of the day but can't play SF and over against the numbers on this ump.

gsp, always interesting in your take as i also look at umps a lot but from angles different than yours. for tonight, agree on detroit as i have nelson down as an ump that sqeezes lefties. however, in the yankee game, i have cuzzi as under material tonight with 4.8 bb/g, and with two righties starting his games have gone under 3-6-1, averaging 7.7 rpg. your take?

Loophole, thanks for your interest. I show Cuzzi at 8-10 on the year but I have another angle that is 11-3 the last 14 and it calls for the over. Also, 2 of the 3 misses went over. He started the season at 6-3 under and since then he is 5-4 over. Also, 7 of his last 10 have gone 9 or more. There are two things that bother me about this game. One is that the Yankees have gone under 7 out of 8 and how well Mussina has pitched with Cuzzi behind the plate. He has only allowed 2 runs total but the ave in those two games was 13. NY has gone over 9 in six of their last 10 and Balt 8 out of ten.

I might not play the over but can't play the under. Good luck today.

I like the idea you guys keep taps on the umps. Years ago there was a crew of big ten footbal umps. We always waited right to last second to see what game they were at. Why? These boys never threw flags. At least compared to other crews. These games would just fly. We would play under evertime we could. Number was not always posted back in 70's. So I agree in baseball if you find a edge like this you must use it. Till proven wrong to a point due to some change. A old friend of mind now gone. Use to say the older and larger umps when behind the plate will always move the game along. They dont like 3 hour games. He felt those should be unders. You know I cant say if he was right or wrong. I did not play BB at that time. He said it was like stealing. It sounds like it could make sence. Old and out of shape dont like long games. Could be close pitches are all strikes. Could be all Bs but just passing it on. GL
