Purple are hurting but have played some decent teams..Mason should go off...

Battle of the Bronx being played in Brooklyn...schools are a few miles apart yet have to cross 2 bridges to the other side...big time rivalry....both schools hate each other...fight over the same recruits,etc..Frazier is tough and Rams signed probably the top gd in NYC in Severe who is avg 21 pts a game...but Beamon and co have more inside players and should pound the ball inside all day..Canty, Rams big man quit school this week...Jaspers will try to pour it on if they can...

California +4.5 over Cuse **
Lyr Cal lost by 6 in the NCAA's to the Cuse..Cal has almost everyone back...Frosh Bird can score and Cals front line can matchup with Cuses...think Cuse struggles a little today..
Texas 2.5 over Depaul **
Texas played some good def last nite and their big boys hit those bds vs BYU getting 15 offensive rebounds...think they do the same to DePaul.. Melvin and Young can score but Texas has some speed in transition and plays solid defense.
