Good luck tonight DDUBS! Any particular reason you like the Oilers tonight? Stars are always tough at home and the Oilers have not been impressive at all in the first few weeks of this NHL season. How about those Halos? Never thought I would see this franchise in the fall classic in a million years! Sweeeeeeeet!

Thanks, gents.:)

jake: Edm is more of a gut play than anything else, that's why it's only 1 unit (4% bankroll). Not likely Edm will win, but not laying -200 on Dallas, especially with Tugnutt in goal. Dal has owned Edm since moving there, 15-1, and at this point this streak means more to Edm than Dal.

oh btw, Tugnutt is 3-10-2 vs Edm lifetime.

Loving the fact that the Halos are in the World Series. I still remember vividly the 9th inning homer by Henderson off of Moore, and how crushed I was when we lost the game.....NO MORE!!!!!

ANGELS IN 5!! SF IS GOING DOWN!!:bigun:

Stars-Oilers preview
7:30 p.m. Tuesday, American Airlines Center

10/15/2002

TV/Radio: FSN/WBAP-AM 820
Series: Stars lead, 34-31-15-1

SCOUTING THE OILERS

Trend: Edmonton (1-0-1) needed two goals in the final 10 minutes to tie Philadelphia before beating Nashville, 3-2.

Who's hot: After a breakthrough 33-goal effort last season as Doug Weight's replacement, C Mike Comrie netted the game-winning goal against Nashville.

Who's not: The Oilers in Dallas, where they are 1-15-2-0. Edmonton last won in Dallas on Jan. 17, 1996.

Notable: Keep an eye on rookie RW Ales Hemsky, who many think might be the next Oilers find. ... The Oilers have struggled on faceoffs just like the Stars, going 46-68 in two games.

Injuries: C Josh Green (back).

SCOUTING THE STARS

Trend: The Stars (2-0-1) are trying for their quickest start since the 1996-97 team won six consecutive games to open the season.

Who's hot: G Marty Turco, who will start against Edmonton, is 1-0-1 with a 1.44 goals-against average and .955 save percentage. Turco is 1-1-0 career against the Oilers with a 1.00 GAA.

Who's not: RW Scott Young is looking for his first Stars point.

Notable: About 350 tickets remain. The Stars have a 191-game home sellout streak, counting the playoffs. ... The Stars' power play ranks eighth in the NHL at 23.1 percent.

Injuries: Jason Arnott (ankle).

Has anything more recent been anounced that I missed?

:spotting: :Yep:

cooz: don't know for certain, if i knew then would definitely have more units on it. read this morning in one of the dallas newspaper sites that tippette wants tugnutt to get a home start, and would be starting. but hockeynews.com seems to think turco will be in, since he's supposed to be #1 goalie. having tugnutt in goal would definitely be a big plus.
