Pirates -105 (Chacon/Benson)
Astros +120 (Saarloos/D'Amico)
Padres +150 (Jones/Prior)
Pirates- Even odds with one of the worst road teams in baseball? Bucs off a bad road trip..at least they are back home. Rockies on the road again having lost 6 straight. Benson got bombed last start, but before that he gave Pitt five good starts with Pitt winning all five of those games. Chacon certainly not striking fear into the Pirates lineup and is coming off two 115+ pitch outings.
Astros- After a rough first few starts, Saarloos has put things together. Houston on a roll as is..getting a decent dog price with a hot team and even hotter pitcher that the Mets have never faced looks like a good spot. D'Amico pitched well last start, but otherwise has been terrible since July. Arm is wearing down and doesn't look like he has much left in the tank.
Padres- Jones pitching very well of late. Pads had a rough go in Arizona (but who hasn't lately)..besides that series they have scoring runs and winning games with a healthy lineup for the first time all season. Can't knock Prior's recent form but he does throw a ton of pitches, often over 100 by the sixth inning thus leaving 3 or 4 innings for the Cubs pen to work their magic.
